Listening to the ramblings of Phil Gould and an honest to goodness senile Ray Warren on this "roosters give penalties away on purpose" claptrap makes you an idiot.

It doesn't explain the complete lack of penalties we get year in year out, nor does it explain why we have been getting smashed with penalties for a decade, only 2 years of which we've apparently been employing this genius tactic

I'll put it simply. The more penalties you give away pisses the refs off more and makes them less inclined to give such a filthy team penalties when they actually deserve one.

If Roosters improve their discipline you guys might actually get some more penalties and the refs would be more lenient.

If you don't understand this I wont waste my time.

One was for a kick off that went dead. I love the line that we don't get penalties because we are indisciplined. It is too funny. I mean we can't even get a penalty when Thurston lunged at RTS with his leg and tripped him. The officials must have simultaneously blinked.

Souffs always get 10.

If we get more than 3 a game we're above avg. It's absolutely criminal and a statistical fact that we get f**ked.

Wtf? Do you realize we were also the most penalised team in 2011 when we got the spoon. It had nothing to do with backing our defence. You do realize that the opposition is more likely to score if they have the ball. Giving opposition extra sets and field position is not exactly a great tactic.

Of course it is. Whats worse is when Trent Robinson lodged a formal complaint to the Tony Archer last season about our lack of penalties, he did not receive any form of response. The silence said it all.
