I think the difference was the inability in the first half to get a footing on that ground.

Matt Ballin is one of the few footballers worth actually listening to the post game interview from, actually speaks articulately and isn't a gargle of cliche's, yeah nahs etc. Lewis Brown also good. I remember last time these teams played I thought the same thing, wow they got some decent interviews post game (Ballin and Kite that time I think it was).

Wtf is with all the ref blaming? Bad calls went both ways like most games. Plenty of opportunities for penalties ignored both ways, and plenty of questionable penalties awarded both ways.

I've never seen a video ref call for a field goal to see if there was any reason at all to disallow it in the lead up. If the referees were as biased as some are saying. They wouldn't be looking so hard to disallow a match winning play.

The better team lost, but not because of the referees. They failed to capatalise on the slaughter early on. Panthers never matched that 20 minute period from Manly, but they slightly edged them the rest of the game.
