Ref's did manly no favors but it didn't come down to them. Well done to the panthers.

I was most annoyed though when panthers got a penalty for a late hit on taylor, but manly got nothing in an almost identical tackle a few minutes later on mateo.

Was a bludger of a game and disappointing to be one the wrong side of it but both teams tried their best to lose.

Moylan had a great game but I think (and no doubt I'm biased) Brett Stewart outplayed him. Hard to believe the Snake won't be playing origin with his current form.

I obviously think Moylan had a better game. Ran for the most metres of any player, over 100 more than Stewart, had a linebreak, try assist and the matchwinner from 39m. He also made 5 tackles for no misses compaired to 4 and 1 for snake. Just watching the game his involvement was huge as it usually is when we win, all that with a few broken fingers too.

2 tries is good but it doesn't top that, pretty even if I am being generous. There was a couple nice personal clashes that snake seemed to get the better of but overall Moylan was a deserving motm.

if Moylan didn't kick the dropkick then he doesn't get motm for mine, played well obviously but I just hate how backs always get all the credit

MOTM was always going to go to the winning team's #1, both were outstanding. Stats don't always tell the full story though. Stewart was sensational under the high ball. The 1 missed tackle was trying to cover Sika Manu who should have been covered by the outside defenders.

Im not knocking his performance I just think Moylan was better .
