When Nikorima can handle 40 odd tackles a game and still play the way he does, then he might usurp McCullough

Ideally this would happen, but McC is very much a Bennett style player. Reliable in defence, especially in the middle. He isn't going anywhere sadly.

This. Nikorima is doing his job, but it's alot easier to come in and start running defences backwards when they've been playing for 60min. McCullough's defence in the middle is invaluable.

I don't think it would ever happen. Kodi is older than Milford and is physically less developed. He would have to move to the halves or fullback to get a run for long periods.

How is a side with attack that wouldn't bother a qld cup side on top of the ladder? We keep waiting for it to click and it doesn't seem to get better week to week.

Broncos forwards could barely get to the 40m and in defense they sit back and concede 10m every run.

They held on in defence but Penrith didn't really offer much, the Broncos were poor, certainly for a team coming first.
Please it's crap like this that makes the wins more and more sweeter. At the end of the day we made 3 line breaks to 0, ran for more slightly more metres in the match ( but according to you we struggled to make meters? ) and before this round we were only 3 tries behind the team that had scored the most tries so far this season. That doesn't happen with a shit attack. Our kicking game needs work for sure, but our running game is second to none. All the bagging is nothing more than sour grapes and hatred, but it's cool that's when we know we are doing well, the cries get louder and louder.

Yeah, tend to agree re Niko and McCullough. Possibly some more game time for Kodi, but at the moment it's doing the job.

Yeah, I did read the thread. Better result than I expected tbh. Although it's difficult to judge without having watched the game. No injuries I hope?

8-5 Brisbane, I am sure you could get a gauge though from reading pantherz' posts

It was a very close game between two good sides, both of which will make the finals. I have no complaints with the result, which could just as easily have gone the other way, but I think the Panthers will reverse it later in the season, when the whips are cracking.

Several panthers fans are experiencing severe butthurt, but nothing too serious.

Who? Quite a few haven't seen the full game yet, and those who have are pretty proud of their team's performance with a number of players out.

Peachey could be in a bit of trouble with the tribunial

Yes he'll probably get a week or two for that.

ummm, I am a Broncos supporter.

You didn't need stats to see we were struggling to get out of our own half, nor that Penrith were making very easy metres and often finishing their set with an attacking kick in our half. We had more ball & therefore more runs, stats can be easily deceptive.

Our goal line defense is what's winning us games, our execution in attack is haphazard at best and hasn't improved all that much for most of the season. I can love my team and still give an honest appraisal of their obvious faults.
