Terrible preparation for QLD, everyone expecting NSW to win - it will be a total balls up if the Blues lose this...

Whilst we all knew he would probably play, do you think he sat out all those training sessions for no reason ?
I think he sat them out because his ankle was tight or possibly uncomfortable weight bearing, therefore he didn't train on with the team but would have been doing drills inside with the trainer.
This isn't the same as an actual injury, however.

I suspect they hammed it up because JT has a massive haem on that hip, thus takes attention away from him.

NSW perfect preparation and a blessing in disguise with Dugan pulling out. Players in form, settled staff, home ground, the signs are all good for them.

They are heavy favourites going into this and Queensland will be up against it.

I think if it continues the way it is (rain etc) it'll be a good old fashion slog fest which NSW should come out on top. We have QLDs measure in the forwards

Wet weather will unfortunately turn this into a middle slog fest that will favour the blues.

Still too hard to not tip the maroons, The two teams seem evenly balanced but QLD have the right players in the right positions.

QLD by 4
MOM - Gillette
FTS - Oates

A wet track means a boring arm wrestle in the middle.

Which will give us the same spectacle as last years game 1, possibly the worst origin game in the past 20 years.

QLD by 20. Gallen to get knocked out in the 1st dust up. Mansour to get injured from a big hit which dislodges the ball and sees QLD in for their first try.
