The Dogs had three early injuries and Klemmer is due back soon, Graham and Tolman won't be churning out those stats every week.

i wouldn't say early injuries, stanley went off at the 40 min mark, elliot about 55-60min and lichaa the 65 min mark

but yeah klemmer will certainly take a few hit ups off them. when klemmer is back, i think their interchanges for the first half are only gonna be

Klemmer on for eastwood after 20-25 mins
Kasiano on for either graham or tolman after 30ish mins

so they'll have 6 interchanges for the 2nd half, i think many of the experts looked at kasiano and eastwood and thought the dogs would struggle with 2 less interchanges. only one of their starters (eastwood) is a lock to not play 80 mins at any stages, the others all can.

all the reduced interchanges/quicker scrums etc are gonna do is increase the value of their starting props and if they starting props grind the other pack down then dealing with a fresh klemmer and kasiano isn't be much fun

To be fair it's only round 1.........Manly looked too small for mine. Fulton had a major hand in the signing of most of Manly's new players. To quote Fulton he would often say, "a big good player will always beat a good little player".

i don't think you can much from either spine last night, one pack destroyed the other and that made the job easy for 1 halves combo with question marks and made it hard for the other with question marks

manly's issue was indeed the pack, when eastwood belted myles twice in the first half, you got the feeling early that the manly pack wern't up for it

Myles and Trobjevic are more solid defensive prior over meter eaters. Lewis and green both under sized back rowers and Taupau doesn't want the ball until the 4th tackle or you're in the opposition 20.

Making ground could be a big issue for them this year.

It's round 1 I wouldn't take too much out of that. The Cowboys were terrible for two or three rounds before they got going and the Knights won there first few games and got the spoon.

I thought Manlys biggest issue was there handling, they dropped everything.

I didn't think Green was too bad considering he is basically a reserve grader. I think he came through as a centre too.

Where is Tom Symonds?

I still think DCE is a top tier player. He had moments but had no one to help him. Myles is definitely at Manly as a retirement package. He doesn't care about footy anymore.

Lol at anyone who thought the Bulldogs forwards were going to struggle with the reduced interchange. They have always been extremely fit with all starters capable of playing a full 80 minutes except Eastwood. I always thought the new rules would suit them over other teams

Mbye looks to have gotten into T-Rex like Foran did at Manly. That was easily his most consistent game in attack he has had at the Bulldogs. Reynolds was was brilliant and Hoppa looked like he did at Manly and not Parra. Good signs all round and hopefully Lichaa isn't badly injured

Manly just never turned up in that game, they lacked intensity, made dumb errors and the Bulldogs played some great forwards footy. Besides J Turbo, Myles and Taupau we had no go forward, Green and Brown just aren't going to cut it.

Next game Green has to go, Brown should be moved to the bench, Williame to never see first grade again and Parcell to start.
