In all honesty, I think NQ has a lot more improvement/polish in them than Brisbane. I still don't like Kostjasyn starting the game at DH. We looked so f**king flat in the first 20 odd mins when he was plodding it up. He is not a DH's asshole. Serviceable back rower is all he will ever be.

Shit calls all round last night for both teams, I thought both sets of referees made crucial errors that effected both teams, sure they probably all cancelled each other out in the end but f**k me, they shouldn't have to.

Anyways, congrats broncs fans, i think other than a bunch of injuries to each team, they both look set to repeat their feats of last year. Definetley look like 2 of the better teams thus far though a lot can happen between now and september.

Was always going to happen though, no matter who won... stupid really.

We saw the teams to beat last night for the title. No other side can run with either of these two teams this year. Scary thing for the other 14 sides is the Cowboys and Broncos can both go up another gear or two.

 Dribbling of Bunniesman proportions

Call the rest of the season off, and let's play the GF next week

And I hope the refs actually have some balls and sin bin professional fouls next time, maybe the Roosters... i mean Cowboys won't commit them so often when stretched in defense. Cowboys slowed the ruck down alot when the Broncos had the ball and got away with it. Half the time Cowboys markers were never square, they camped offside all night and got away with it.

People are quick to look at one side and point the finger and cry foul on the other teams behalf based purely on a hatred for a team and it's fans. Then there is those who suffer tall poppy syndrome and the stronger that side the louder the cries, so as a Broncos fan on both counts I say your tears are sweet and when you're ready I'll call you a whambulance.

Ffs kiwi I give up.
Anyway go the mighty broncos.
There is some epic butthurt flying around in here

Yeah agree

Is Granville not an 80min player?

It would be a waste to bring in a specialist hooker just so Granville can have a break but Kosty is not the answer. It really made q difference when he came on

Sounds like you need a whambulance yourself!

Because Granville goes a million miles an hour and gets highly involed in D, he wears himself out pretty quick. We have another hooker Chudleigh waiting in the wings but unproven at this level, bit of a gamble imo. Will be interesting to see if Linnet is out what Green decides on doing replacement wise. Might see Kalyn Ponga make his debut and see Winterstein move to the centres

How? I thought your forwards last night were playing at full potential, they got over the advantage line with ease and the final 20 minutes is when they were at their best. Their were some errors and timing issues in attack but I thought you guys played pretty close to potential. You weren't playing the roosters this week, there's an argument to be made there for why you didn't go 40-0 this week.

Bronco's on the other hand were missing Oates & Reed, an out of form Hunt & an atrocious kicking game. Want to talk about improvement & polish I'm sure most broncos fans are happy to discuss whose got more in them.

I don't think I've seen Broncos fans this unsettled over a win like ever, it's fantastic!

What about Mitchell? I've always wondered why he hasn't gotten more NRL time. He's been killing it in QCup for awhile

The Broncos have a scintillating backline, no doubt about it, especially with Oates to come back, but they have an average (to be kind) forward pack, which has been shown up two weeks running when the whips were cracking. Plus they rely far too much on Milford to create things, and they seem to have things go their way early in games an awful lot as well. Even though they managed to get up last night, I think they are false favourites. If Milf goes down, this team is in trouble.

One error, the Coote one which mysteriously was not replayed on Nine despite it being the turning point, followed by a Milford break, saved them last night.

Was the same as last year, they basically concede meters in order to maintain their defensive line. But your right, the pack is certainly not up to its standard of late last year but it will get back there as the season progresses. Our entire season last year was made built on the back of defense and relying on opposition mistakes & Milford/Hunt's superior running game, you'd have to say that it works.

The penrith game highlighted how offloads and adlib play can bring it undone though.

And Glenn's error before that gave the ball to the Cowboys... What's your point?

No team in the comp can win without their best player as well so...

Teams have already run with them. It is only March. I would not be putting my money on a repeat of the same Grand Final as last year.

This time last year, the eventual Grand Finalists were running 5th and 15th.

There is little doubt they'll make the finals, both of them, but in five and 6 months time who knows who the form teams will be.

Hunt has to be the bigest concern for Brisbane.

He's just stopped running the ball which would be a real concern considering that's what made him so dangerous with ball in hand and also helped to open up space out wide as defenders couldn't shift off him before the ball was gone.

Yep. Milfords form had kind of disguised it but Hunt needs to snap out of it soon. I'm hoping the scars from the GF aren't permanent.

It is a little concerning, heres hoping he picks back up again. To be honest I think he's probably getting a bit more flak than he deserves - he's been relatively solid (without being amazing or a standout) in general play. For mine the issue is his kicking game. For the most part, its always ranged from above average to horsesh*t, and so far this season, its mostly been closer to the latter.

When the Broncos fell behind last night they scored.
A great 90 metre try by the way.
Bennett is holding his cards close to his chest at this stage of the season.
Who knows hunt may be playing under instructions in regards to running the ball.
Great to see Roberts cut loose.
Reed and Oates missed last nights game so there is obviously a huge amount of improvement still to come
