With what money? Bennett and Stone were kind enough to sign players like Mullen, Uate, Gagai, hodkinson, Snowden and Sims to over-inflated contracts. Unless we can find buyers for them, we have to wait until their contracts are up before we can even think about buying anyone half decent

Snowden is retiring isn't he.

Haha they finally call a forward pass from friend. Shame they missed the 50 others he threw that game

Yeah probably, but he's been plodding it up for the past 6 years to the tune of $400k a year.

It's just amazing how bad the supposedly good Knights players have been. Mullen, Gagai, Hodkinson especially. Didn't think they'd be the problem after 9 rounds.

Yeah. It is the lack of experience, not the actual experience I thought would win them the spoon. If their seasoned players put in, and performed, they wouldn't be anywhere near the spoon.

Brown will get them up. Matter of time. Great coach, who has done the apprenticeship he needed to do overseas to get a proper shot in the NRL.

Parramatta in 2013 were one of the worst sides in the history of the NRL and just 3 years later are doing fine (off field dramas not withstanding).

This Knights side will give them a run for their money as the worst in the current NRL era. That Parramatta side had a differential of -414 which was one of the worst in NRL history (Souths did -432 in 2002 and also only had 5 wins, but avoided the spoon from the Dogs being docked points for cheating, Wests in 98 and particularly 99 were worse in wins and differential, but the competition had more teams and was quite different to the current one) and about one third into the season the Knights are well on track to go worse than that.

But we all knew they would struggle this year. Brown certainly deserves a few seasons to get the roster more to his liking. Let's hope that he can get them fighting as well in three years as Brad Arthur has the current Eels side.

I feel sorry for the young kids like Saifiti, Lamb and Sione. The experienced players eg Hodkinson, T Sims and Gagai have been totally pathetic this season.

Yep - our 3 top paid players and haven't stepped up when needed. I'd be stripping the captaincy from Tariq and Hodko ASAP too. Jeremy Smith is the only one of the 3 that deserve it.

NSW can't pick Hodkinson at halfback, he's f**ked up majorly, he had some good clubs chasing him, Melbourne was one of them. Taking the best money has killed he's career.

Saw Snowy at Coles last week.... dude looks like he has lost A LOT of weight - as in looks like he hasn't been able to train weights for a long time.

Yep, they haven't deserved it. It's hard enough for rookies, but when the leadership group don't step up...
