This article was seemingly lost/forgotten to be posted in all the chat last week. Strange isn’t it.

Anyways I can confirm a meeting between W.A. Gov and Bears happened.
I cannot confirm if Cumins was involved - not sure if he was at Magic Round.
I can confirm the meeting between W.A. Gov and Bears also had PVL in the room.
I can confirm the meeting went very well and the outcome was extremely promising and positive for all 3 parties.

No, I was not in the meeting but Billy Moore was and I was hanging out with Billy Moore and another Bears board member for about 4/5 hours on Saturday. Again, a lot of what I’ve been saying lately isn’t just my own personal speculation or assumptions. But doesn’t sound like detractors here want to read it and take it in - might be time for you lot to do so though.

Theres a lot more happening that hasnt been let out or released to public yet. Nothing is official, there is no green light but the driver is in the car and the car is waiting for the lights to change…

On another note - I’ve been to Magic Rounds since 2019 and this is the one with the most Bears jerseys I have seen to date. Both stadium and Caxton St. All types of jerseys including current nsw cup ones. Yes there were Reds jerseys around too. Also 90% of the people wearing Bears jerseys would be no older than 35/40.

Great weekend overall.

Edit - posted wrong article
Geez our W.A. crew dropped the baton on this one lol.

There was contingent of Perth fans went over and had special shirts made up. No Perth Bears jerseys or flags to be seen lol @Red&BlackBear

None what’s so ever - but how would you know? You don’t attend games or think being at the biggest rugby league party is important to be seen.

Look at all these 50 year old boomers below..

But wait …….. more Bears fans at Magic RoundView attachment 88278
To be honest that Hunters Mariners jersey got my attention. What a find from the fella in the background.

As I said during the first post - over the 3 days there were as more Bears jerseys than I’ve ever seen at a Magic Round. Probably double from last year which was double the year before.

Caxton St hotel had a large group of about 15 young fellas who were there as a group. They were there Saturday for the games and vibe and were flying back out Sunday to make the beer festival at NSO.

Dedication from the fellas. Great weekend all round.

I think the people who were in charge from the 1920’s are not with us any longer.
You just concentrate on those Eagles juniors from Blacktown and make sure training is safe for them to attend.
The culture gets passed down across the years, that’s the problem. It reared its head again last year with the Bears finding a way to lose the NSW Cup Grand Final. It’s the same culture that you don’t want making its way to Perth. Maybe it’ll work if it’s just the name, colours and acknowledging the history, but involving the people who churn out missed opportunity after missed opportunity on the field in the expansion side’s on-field operations doesn’t seem like a great idea.

I see NS fans, no one campaigning for perth bears lol
All V’Landys has to see is a Bears jersey and he automatically thinks of the 200K Bears supporters on the East Coast that will support the Perth Bears, that’s all that matters.
