Worst crime in Australian history occurred in western Sydney. Not far from Penrith.

John Travers

John Raymond Travers, aged 18 in 1986, was considered the ringleader of the gang. He was raised in relative poverty in Blacktown, the oldest of eight children from unmarried teenage parents. By age 14, he was already an alcoholic,[10] and was expelled from high school during Year 10 for being continually disruptive to other students. Beyond schooling, Travers held few jobs and relied mostly on unemployment benefits as a source of income.[10] He was eventually committed to Boys' Town, a juvenile detention facility, by his mother. His father, with whom he never shared a close relationship, left the household in 1981. Finding it difficult to support the family, Travers relied on crime to provide food, such as stealing animals for the family’s dinners, including chickens and ducks from nearby households.[10] The health of Travers' mother eventually deteriorated, and he and his siblings were sent to live with foster families while she was placed in a hospice. Travers had a history of violent sexual behaviour, against males and females, as well as bestiality; during the times when he resorted to stealing poultry for his family’s meals, he is alleged to have sexually abused the birds prior to butchering and cooking them. Witnesses have also recounted that, on several occasions, Travers had acquired a live lamb or sheep for butchering prior to a barbecue party, alleging that he slit the animals’ throats as he sodomised and abused them sexually—before butchering and roasting the carcass on a spit.[6][10]

Cockroaches on LU, such as yourself, like to talk yourselves up as if you're bluebloods from the House of Windsor. In reality, NSW is home to the most vile and disgusting feral trash on this planet.

Remember that freak Katherine Knight?

She stabbed her boyfriend to death, cut off his skin, cooked his head and flesh in a pot and served it on a plate with potatoes for his children to eat. She was from the Hunter region.

Don't forget about the largest inbred family in Australian history. They lived West of Sydney.

The fact that a violent, racist grub like Paul Gallen is worshipped in NSW says it all.

What's your point?

The poll on the Perth subreddit doesn't support the Bears. Its results line up perfectly with Peter Cumins' statement about a dead Sydney club trying to win over the Perth public.
My point is that inviting responses to a question is just fishing for those who feel passionately one way or the other.

No surprise that the "we don't want the Bears" vote wins.

Now, I'm not necessarily saying the poll is wrong but any statistician worth their salt will put a huge asterisk on that result due to the poll's inherently unscientific nature.

TL : DR version - it's NOT a random sample, and shouldn't be treated as one.

Doesn't take much,

when you are constantly hearing garbage agendas, from backward know it all's who only spout negativity about all things in your favourite past time sport, it gets a bit tiresome, I thought PR being absent was a good thing, seems donks fills that bias fitzstupid type void

Tell me what on this page has anything to do with expansion or the 18th team?
Pot. Kettle. Black.

You're an insecure NSWRL fan. No one is allowed to criticise the shortfalls of the NSWRL and its pissant clubs. If they dare to point out a few truths you get all worked up and fly into a rage. The quality of the spelling and grammar in your posts gets worse as your anger increases.

You hang around this forum because you're worried about future expansion clubs taking the spotlight away from tinpot hillbilly NSWRL outfits who play at suburban venues. Hence the reason you want a deadshit club like the Bears to hang around the neck of a Perth-based team like a noose.

You pushed for a hillbilly PNG outfit based in Cairns for a year or more. Enough said.

You were dumb enough to think we were going to get the Melbourne Bears. Just f**k off with your stupid predictions. You don't have two brain cells to rub together.

It's a subreddit about Perth. The point of the post and poll was to gauge the opinion of people from Perth about the prospect of the Perth Bears. Some of the respondents said they didn't give a f**k about NRL. One of them thought the Force were an NRL club. Most of the people said they didn't want a Sydney club.

I warned everyone on here that Perth will be a tough market to crack because most of its population doesn't give a f**k about our game. I was told there's nothing to worry about because an Origin game drew 59k.

If we want a Perth-based NRL team to work then we need to give it every opportunity to win over the public.

Why do you think Peter Cumins said the following?

“The people involved in the consortium are West Australians who love rugby league and would love to see a stand-alone team in Perth.

“If we had to make a concession, and a partnership was the only way we could do it, then we would look at that, but there are lots of downsides to those arrangements and the integration with people on the other side of the country.”

“West Australians are very parochial”.

“The history and traditions of the North Sydney Bears and Newtown Jets have no relevance to anyone in Perth"

“People in Perth would be going, ‘why are we playing games at North Sydney Oval?’"

Everything he's said has been ignored by narrow-minded NSWRL fans who think they can bully Western Australians into accepting a failed Sydney club.

And there you go again. Pathways = Sydney identity and that’s your agenda. Just give up pretending. I’ve said all along , and you ignore, it a Perth side will have feeder arrangements just like every other club. What they dont want and should not have is a dead Sydney clubs moniker, a home game in Sydney and board members and influence from clubs like the bears..

Where did I say it had to be Sydney?

Dolphins have ticked off the pathway well enough from QRL

Any of the new clubs need to be in partnership with an East Coast club. Problem is the ones in QLD are a chance to get in when the game expands in QLD

Here is the table for the NSW u21's comp. At the bottom you will see

Melbourne
Warriors
Fiji

All are down there because they have the weaker local system below this level. The areas with better schools to put their kids in the team is better.

QLD doesn't have this level but their u17's and U19's had Wide Bay run last. Once again an area with a weaker competition for the rest of the squad to play in.

QCup has the Clydesdales running last - the year they have no NRL feeder arrangement.

So that is why a partnership ( Not a feeder because you need Perth to have a say in how the side is run ) with a QRL or NSWRL looks the best way to have that side be a mid table side as opposed to running last.

PNG and NZ 2 will have the same issue BUT Perth is likely next in so are relevant to talk about

As for the Board members.

Mike Cannon-Brookes got a seat on the board when he bought into Souffs for $10m.

If Bears are going to tip in some cash shouldn't they get the same benefits any other private investor would?

His team is about to win four straight comps
