Dumbest logo in the history of Australian sport.Steelers were definitely influenced by the NFL. The original logo had a bloke wearing an American football helmet and shoulder pads.

Where the hell did this McIntyre clown buy his furniture?Yes.
They had to pick a shade of green that wouldn't clash with the Rabbitohs green, and they were in John McIntyre's office where he kept a lime green couch when he pointed at it and said something to the effect of 'how about that green'.
It was bought in the 70s, so pretty much any furniture store lol.Where the hell did this McIntyre clown buy his furniture?
I love the Lime green, there isn't many sports clubs that will go and promote themselves with a unique color... mostly due to business reasons, but canberra have recently been trying to step away from the lime... which is a massive mistake, but i get why they are doing it.. i dont agree with it, but i get it..I rented a house with a kitchen that was same colours as raiders green lol. Hurt my head every time I cooked in there!
Or FAR nth Qld.... pride colorsReckon McClaren orange and light blue, aka gulf racing colours would be good for a tropical team, should have been cowboys!
Canberra chose local green & white coloursDoes it mention the lime green couch being inspiration for the raiders colours
Apparently Canberra was an Aussie Rules city prior to the Raiders and Brumbies arrivalIf they go to team 19 then 20 will inevitably follow, and they could really have an impact with team 20 if they are willing. At the moment their only realistic options in Australia for a 20th team are Perth, Adelaide, or Canberra. The talk you here of a 'Northern Australia' NT/Cairns team is pie in the sky BS, Newcastle simply isn't ready to support an AFL team, and they won't risk the impact that more teams in SEQ or Sydney would have on the Lions, Suns, and GWS yet.
Of those realistic options odds are that they'll choose Perth because it's the safest option and they'll probably want to avoid the costs of having to financially support another club, however if they are willing to take on the extra financial burden and add Canberra it'll really shake the football market up.
Lets put it this way; if Canberra got an AFL team it'd be as big as the Raiders, if not bigger, from day one...
I thought it was a stack hat, and tribute to Aussie made engineeringSteelers were definitely influenced by the NFL. The original logo had a bloke wearing an American football helmet and shoulder pads.
This i know, i just wanted to know if the book confirmed the couch green scenarioCanberra chose local green & white colours
Blue & Gold represented the ACT
so are you saying the NRL will relocate 2 teams out of Sydney just to make way for the Bears? hahahahahaDont know everyone is worried about the 18th team
Simple it will be the CC Bears with 3 games at NSO
Allows Easts to Adelaide 3 games at the SFS
And Wests to Perth 3 games at Leichhardt
Dogs move to Liverpool
Dragons play at the gong with 3 games at Kogarah
I think what you're suggesting has some merit - though I would tweak the Roosters and Tigers arrangements (and maybe Dragons too) so there's ONE game for each of those teams in their traditional Sydney home each year.. but offer "away memberships" for Sydney fans who'd want to keep following them at their away games in Sydney.Dont know everyone is worried about the 18th team
