Ur putdowns have all the bite of something written by a 12 year old private school boy. What does Paul Keating say about being flogged by a leaf of warm lettuce?!
Lots of big metros around world don't have teams in national competitions, but u fixated specifically with the 4th & 5th biggest in a particular country coz u want to prove point nobody cares about.
Why don't u narrow it further by specifying teams that play in red or in stadiums with retractable roof?!
The point is pretty simple (although maybe not so much): sporting competitions or businesses for that matter (serious ones) don’t neglect the biggest areas or regions in their own country when servicing their product . You know why they do this: because it is f***** moronic not to service as much of the country as you can.
Nobody else does it because it makes no sense.
For example, you wouldn’t see a French company not try to sell their product/service to Lyon or Marseille, a German company not servicing Frankfurt or Cologne, a Russian company not serving Yekaterinburg or Omsk et al.
Also, kudos to the Paul Keating reference although it is surprising that you quoted him.
You seem a little more ‘conservative’ than Keating and your arguments are nowhere near your idols - more like Hewson explaining how the GST would work in fact
