See when you want to post positive stuff like that it’s excellentI was only ten so didn’t quite appreciate I was seeing a once in a century event! It confused me why so many grown men around me were crying at the end! Both in happiness and sadness depending what colours they had on lol the city wass insane lowering upmtot the final ith every house and shop decked out on red and white or black and white. Someone put a bog sign on the motorway out of the city saying “last person put please turn off the lights”. They reckon over 100k Hull people went to London that weekend out of a city of only 150k!
lucky to then have seen them Win championships, numerous trophies and see them beat the qlnd state touring side in the early 80’s.
Must admit I shed a tear when we won promotion in 2007 and got into SL for first time in , I thought the club would never get back. I was really drunk that night and rang into radio Humberside and was drunkenly shouting my joy live on radio lol
rugby league can be such a wonderful game for so many people
I really hope super league can sort itself out there’s a decent nucleus there of strong clubs there just isn’t enough money in the game so everyone is fighting for scraps
the hull derby I went too was one of the best experiences i had in rugby league
up there with an origin or gf for atmosphere
I was feeling a bit homesick by the time I got to hull I was alone at a pub then I looked at the wall and it was team lists for hull kr and hull fc and it lessened the homesickness seeing the rugby league connection
