I told you they had visa issues

if you knew anything about rugby league you would know that being a bit short is no issue to play the game it’s how thick and muscular you are

they aren’t playing basketball lmao
If none had then yes, but if some have then clearly getting a Visa wasn’t an issue?

how many players in the nrl are under 5ft 9? And in what positions? Sure the odd png hooker or scrum half might make it.

Shane Richardson cited the percentage of NRL players that are from Queensland. He argued the percentage would be higher if there was another team in Brisbane. I cannot prove or disprove his claim. I think it's possible for a third Brisbane team to pick up players who were overlooked by the other NRL clubs. They may not be the best players in their age division, but could develop into late bloomers who become more than serviceable.

It's also true that juniors from SEQ would prefer to stay close to home to be near their family. The NYC was shut down because young players were committing suicide due to the pressure of being far away from home.
He's trying to get his team in though. Hardly an unbiased view

1/2 Empty stadium even when giving the tickets away, what a city!

I think Dan Ginanne just said the attendance is 35k. Terrible for a preliminary final in Australia's largest city.

There's no reason to build new stadia in Sydney when a game of this importanc3 can only draw 35k.

The Dolphins averaged 32k at Lang Park with a losing team.

Bring in Brisbane 3.

True, but the same can be said about you and everyone else from Perth who is against Brisbane 3 getting the 18th licence. We're all as biased and hypocritical as one another because we want the coveted 18th licence.
No denying that. But you've brought up his speech a few times like its something of big importance.

I think it's something we should look into. If the NRL can increase the amount of players from SEQ by bringing in the Brisbane Tigers then that allays the fear about expansion diluting the talent pool.

Brisbane Tigers have a catchment that extends from Bulimba in east-north-east Brisbane to Yarrabilba in south-east Logan. It's a strong network of clubs, with four in Logan. There's a large Polynesian population in Logan that love the game. I don't think our game is doing enough to maximise the amount of talent it gets from Logan. I say that as some one who has lived in the city for 20 years. I've seen just how little attention the Broncos have given the city over the last 20 years. Their negligence has led to the Brisbane Lions swooping in to set up their social club in Springwood.

If the Brisbane Tigers can convert more juniors into NRL players than NZ2, PNG and Perth then it would be crazy to not being them in.

Darius Rogers, whos is the younger brother to Josh Roger (debuted for Broncos the other week / QCup 5/8th of Year) threw the pass for the winning try. Pity he'll have to head to QLD like all our juniors end up doing to go any further in the game.
Shame you dont have strong pokie/leagues clubs backing your clubs and a comp rivaling Qcup, so that those rogers boys can stay locally playing for the mighty reds/bears/pirates
