So no link, just your opinion then.Zero fta slots
Sunday afternoon? And ptv pays most of the deal

Perth offer no unique time slotsSo same as what’s been suggested for perth then lol
I can see nine perth home games on ptv at 6pm and 3 on fta in the fta Sunday afternoon slot. same split as cowboys.
ptv is getting as many viewers as fta these days so there should really be no concerns about impact on corporate $ as cowboys are showing,
tbh fta if it stays with nine isn’t going to be where the big money increase comes from, that will be ptv.
Ch9 showed last deal they don’t value expansion anywhere so unless the 9th game ends up being bought by fta we won’t see much uplift from them regardless of location of team.
Not sure what you mean?Perth offer no unique time slots
The NRL did try a lot of games this season around 6pm or after on Sunday. So are you talking 4pm kick off in Perth for 6pm AEST or 6pm kick off in Perth for 8pm AEST.Troll mode more like
the 6pm Sunday slot is perfect for perth and I could see us playing 75% of our games in that slot if we got in. Takes nine sht fan time games away from the east coast clubs.
6pm aest. Creates a permenant Sunday 3 game program. Likely 2 on ptv, 1 on fta.The NRL did try a lot of games this season around 6pm or after on Sunday. So are you talking 4pm kick off in Perth for 6pm AEST or 6pm kick off in Perth for 8pm AEST.

Playing games at 8pm on a Sunday on east coast will totally kill crowds.

nz2 offer more games in the dreaded fri 6pm slot
perth offers games and lots of positives in what will likely be the new ninth game time slot, a Sunday 6pm that clubs won’t like.
png no idea when they’ll likely play given heat and what tv is going to think about having to produce games every other week in Port Moresby
Brisbane3 same old same old as is
if we go to twenty, and purely from a tv point of view, then I guess nz2 covering more Friday 6pm and Perth and png covering new Sunday 6pm isnt a bad outcome for the game. No idea where the tenth slot would go!
Does PNG reliable enough electricity or actual lighting to host anything but day games?PNG could host all 12 of their games at 6pm AEST.
Another option is to run two games on a Friday ar 8pm AEST. One featuring Queensland teams and broadcast into Brisbane on Ch9. The other featuring NSW teams and broadcast into Sydney on Ch9. Maximise ratings.
It is but the existing clubs definately dislike it because the following week they may be playing on Thursday or Friday nights and the HIA rules really cause havok with team selections.C
Already covered by existing clubs
No you said perth won’t get any fta games and their signage revenue would suffer. that’s bs as the cowboys have shown. No reason perth won’t get 3 fta games on a Sunday afternoon, and if they don’t ptv audience is a big as fta now anyway.Who suggested Perth would host three games on a Thur/Fri night?
No one.
Now you're bringing up Sunday when the discussion was Thur/Fri.
You're shifting the goal posts.
The irony of Perth hosting a Sunday Ch9 game at 2pm AWST is it defeats the purpose of admitting them into the NRL. If they're playing in this time slot then one some else has to host the Sun 6pm AEST game.
FTA + PTV > PTV.
Didn’t you say the amount we got was due to the ARLC not taking the rights to tender?
Another lie.
Ch9 lost four Broncos games.
And sht crowds, I’m sure the existing clubs would be more than happy for perth to take half those Sunday 6pm games! It is but the existing clubs definately dislike it because the following week they may be playing on Thursday or Friday nights and the HIA rules really cause havok with team selections.
That’s sort of increase will come from serious competition for the rights, not for paying for extra content. Webe just seen afl get an uplift in region of $150mill a year with no extra teams (maybe tassie tbc). More than enough to see nrl go to 20 clubs.PNG could host all 12 of their games at 6pm AEST. Perth could host all 12 games at 4pm AWST. NZ 1 and NZ2 could host 24 games at Fri 6pm AEST
Problem is a 10th game creates an additional time slot that won't be favourable to the east coast clubs. Ch9 won't cover the $60m needed to support these teams through the annual grant. News Ltd won't benefit from it, either. Warriors are already one of the least watched teams on Foxtel. Adding NZ2, PNG and Perth into the mix will lead to more low drawing games.
Will News Ltd splash an extra $60m on three teams that don't draw many viewers?
News Ltd paid extra for the Dolphins because it guaranteed them an extra four exclusive Broncos games.
Another option is to run two games on a Friday at 8pm AEST. One featuring Queensland teams for Ch9 Brisbane. The other featuring NSW teams for Ch9 Sydney. Maximises ratings. The same can be done on a Thursday night or Sunday arvo for the 10th game. The NRL will need another Queensland team to make this work.
link?Lucky we have a strong club like the dolphins who broadcasters want so there’s a place now for a club who broadcasters don’t want like Perth or png
Hahahaha, realism... aka perfNegativity? Realism? It’s all a question of perspective.
