I never said that a second Brisbane team was a bad idea. I have even said a third Brisbane side is not a bad idea so long as it is around a decade from now on.

It might not be Sydney but it is literally an hour away and between 10 other NSW teams. It is not a good idea however you want to swing it.

In any case taking the Bears at their word they have walked away from that idea it seems and want to share games at North Sydney Oval not Gosford.

Yeah I can’t recall anybody saying it was a bad decision. Some people may have argued that the Dolphins weren’t the right choice for the second side but that’s a seperate argument.

The only negatives I remember saying was that they shouldn’t play at Kayo Stadium (which they still shouldn’t) and the fact that they weren’t given enough time to prepare.

To be fair you’re the one arguing that they don’t provide much worth to Ch 9 and Foxtel or that the deal hasn’t increased much with them in the competition. You haven’t provided any evidence either.

It’s a Schrödinger’s cat in any case. There are multiple possibilities and nobody has any definitive proof for their position.

The fact they're broadcast into Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth on 9Gem shows how little they're worth to Ch9. A rerun of a movie from 1983 would pull better ratings. FTA networks aren't in the habit of paying large sums for filler content that they air on secondary channels.

Agreed. Their attendances weren’t great. What was the attendances like overall though? Rugby League attendances were pretty awful in the 90’s.

Cowboys drew great crowds between 1995-98.
