Png and New Zealand mentioned for expansion in a 20 team comp

did he miss anyone else lmao

Essentially ruled out Wellington by saying they won’t be looking at another team on the north island if his words are to be taken on face value.

I wonder if that’s the reason we haven’t seen any interest out of there for a bid.

Ideal scenario is christchurch stadium in Wellington

Yep sound like clubs are having their influence, Warriors no to a northern island team, Cowboys no to a Cairns based team. Broncs and Dolphins and Titans no to a Brisbane3 team. Good job the club chair and ceo's love Perth :)

Yeh that seems to be them placating the Warriors by saying the North Island is theirs.

Are you trying to deceive people into thinking Cash Converters had just nine stores and they were all located in Western Australia?

If so then the Cash Converters website proves you're full of shit:

Milestones
1984 – Founder Brian Cumins opened the first store in Victoria Park, Western Australia
1988 – The first two franchise stores opened in Western Australia
1991 – The first international store opened in Essex, UK
1994 – The first non-English speaking store opened in France
1995 – Cash Converters was listed on the UK Stock Exchange
1997 – Cash Converters was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange

There were plenty of them in Queensland in the early 1990s.
I saw a Cash Converters in at Gosford on Tuesday, had to check that I wasn’t in Perth lol

FMD, if this South Island Keas bid gets traction, and ends up nabbing a spot, how dumb are perth going to look, had 3 licences up for grabs and couldn't manage to get one, even when the bears were basically holding out an olive branch...

Dont say we, WE are not of the same mindset, WE don't go around putting sh't on other bids just because its not The magic politis 3 areas you keep touting of perth, adelaide and chch...
We are already getting PVL name dropping no Wellington at all, and constantly saying PNG is next, so WE don't believe in your 3 picks

'we' as in the game of RL, a game littered with poor decisions and bad choices, especially when it comes to growing the game beyond its traditional areas.

Only mistake arl made was not admitting 2 brisbane sides and also admitting Perth

the reason rugby league is number one is because before super league we had the best leadership since jj gillitnan to John Quayle

Cutting Perth, Adelaide, GC and Brisbane2 was huge mistakes that set the games national reach back probably 40+ years! Taking 26 years to bring back Brisbane2 huge mistake. Not having a NZ2 side, huge mistake. Still no sign of Perth or Adelaide return huge mistake.
Literally the only good thing the game has done since 1998 in regards to proper expansion was to bring in Melbourne and agree to fund Storm to keep them growing into the huge club they are now.
NRL are not orpahns in the myopic failure to grow RL, England, France, IRL all remain stuck in its traditional areas whilst shtter sports like Union have managed to spread their roots around the world.

Arl didn’t cut those clubs except gc and broncos wanted a monopoly on Brisbane to make peace

Politis wants PNG, Perth and Central Queensland.

I cannot see Central Queensland working. It would struggle for players and sponsors.

Perth could work to some degree, but it will never be one of the stronger clubs. If I had to choose between Perth, Christchurch and PNG then I would expect the latter two to generate more players and a larger fanbase than Perth.

ok got it, you've only told us 7 million times that you don't think Perth will attract much support.

Im glad he told us, I'd forgotten what his opinion on the matter was lol How PNG is going to draw a big fanbase in a 15k stadium will be interesting to see!

Be interesting to see what the Dolphins game at HBF draws this year. First game back there for a few years.
