He's also guilty of confusing correlation with causation. The Great Dunce, mongoloid and Perth Rat are guilty of thinking AwFuL's broadcast rights generate more money than the NRL's due to having a footprint in all five metropolitan markets. They ignore other factors, such as game length, amount of commercials aired during a game and target demographic.

It will take several decades and a few generations for teams in non-traditional markets to generate a return on the investment. AwFuL have invested hundreds of millions on Queensland and NSW over the last 30 years. Their return has been underwhelming.

We can control expansion and if expanding to the remaining major metro markets will bridge that revenue gap, or overcome it, then why not try?

NRL ratings for Adelaide and Perth are just 7k and 8k.

On a per capita basis fumbleball is played at a higher ratio in South Australia and Western Australia than it is in Victoria.

With a couple of notable exceptions (e.g. WCE and Crows who sell out ticket allocations and have waiting lists) membership numbers aren't a measure of anything anymore and clubs like the Broncos and Dolphins taking the piss by selling things like single game memberships are why.

Only a mug would pay full price to attend an away game or the derby at Suncorp rather than buy one of those memberships, and only a moron or a liar would hold up those membership numbers in Brisbane as representative of anything other than the greed of the clubs.

Dolphins must be confident of a sell out at HBF as A) they are fleecing fans with ticket prices and B) they arent offering a special membership for Perth. I was hoping theyd have a discount one game membership then they could have added 2 more to their BS membership number lol
