Have to say the idea of a perth club taking on the Jets brand seems very meh. It’s not very exciting name, nothing much to do with perth and the nrl doesn’t need another club playing in blue and white. I’m still struggling to see what they are offering?
Clearly the WA bid group thinks there's some value in it if they're meeting with the Jets. Same with them meeting with the Bears. It seems like they're leaning towards adopting an existing brand to get themselves over the line like the Dolphins.

Just ticking a box IMO. It puts pistol petes mind at ease and brings the Sydney media along to boot.

What does a Pirate or Bear have to to with Perth? They can modify their jersey and colours for the NRL, doesn't have to be blue and white.

I would see the value of East Coast teams to Perth being in a feeder role only.

Given how notoriously parochial the WA is, they need there own brand to work.

Yeah, and I think that's what will happen if the Jets idea happens.

The team will have the royal blue & white PLUS a third colour, much like how the Dolphins added their shade of gold to distinguish themselves from the Dragons colour-set.

(As an aside - I would've added some shade of grey instead of gold to the NRL Dolphins, being the colour of a dolphin, but I can see why they didn't pick that, given that the Dragons have used black & grey in some special jerseys in the past)

Question is - what colour would the Perth Jets add to the Newtown set? I honestly think the two frontrunners would be green or orange.

Who would you have the Jets play in Sydney? 81 gf replay? Local rivals Souths or chooks? Old venue leichhardt v tigers?
There all good sells mate, but no home games away from W.A. for me, this is after all a W.A. team, and should play all their home games in W.A.
Possibly 81` GF replay in Darwin if Perth Reds (that`s what I`d call them) want to create some pathways up there.
