Ownership is the key. If NS have any major share or 50/50 I'm not for it.

If its Perth owned, trials only at NS Oval and NS act as the Jersey Flegg / NSW Cup sides with 2 streams below that, I see benefits.
Would you have Perth lower grades aswell? Or just a feeder arrangement

Harold Matthews and SG Ball in both locations to maximise the catchment area. Keep local Perth and NS kids living in their home environment.

By the time the players are 20 their either playing for the Bears at Flegg/NSW Cup or feeding back into the local first grade / colt comps.

Id run the NSW cup/reserve grade team out of Perth not East coast. Those players are mostly contracted and need to be training with the first team. There's 36 contracted NRL players, that will probably go to 40 when reserve grade is reintroduced. They should all be living and training in Perth. Flegg could be on East coast and SG ball and HM in both.

The national reserve grade team would need to be out of perth if that eventuates.

When Obama was president
USA debts were around $90 trillion
Know it's off subject but according to Presidential terms
Reagan first to hit $1 trillion
Obama 2008 $10.025 trillion
2016 $ 19.573 trillion
Trump 2017 $20.245T
2020 $26.945 T
Biden 2021 $28.428T
2023 $33.167T
I don't trust any politician making promises about financing PNG team , especially from the U.S.
AllI know it's a flipping load of debt.

There is no "promise" of funding an NRL team from the US.

That Kiwi journo extrapolated that because the US are spending money on the Indo-Pacific then Australia will likely follow their lead.

It's been passed by congress & signed off on. Whether it can be stopped or reversed is another thing. If NRL are engaged to create team, they'll want something in place be compensated even if pin is pulled.

NSW Cup players don’t train with their NRL counterparts now, the cost of flying both NRL and NSW Cup teams across to NSW would be ridiculous.
You wouldn’t have a NSW Cup side in WA to fly them across, these guys are not full time players, they have jobs, they would be exhausted, only the players who didn’t make the final Perth Bears NRL line up for that weekend would be flown across like the Storm currently does with their feeder clubs the Bears, Brissy Tigers and Sunshine Coast Falcons.
The Bears name their NSW Cup side late Tuesday afternoon as do the NRL sides, then is the Bears are playing at 3pm on Sunday they release their final run on team at 2pm, one hour before kick off and that is when there are usually four or five Storm players added to the 18 made squad.
There are major obstacles for a full National reserve grade competition, the Redcliffe Dolphins are the only Hostplus Qld Cup side who match their NRL counterparts, there are 14 other clubs who are dead against it.

I’m actually going down to NSO on Saturday for the NSW Cup’s version of Magic Round, they are also holding a Beer, Footy and Food Festival so it should be a big day with three games of rugby league played Warriors v Panthers, Raiders v Dragons and the Grand Final rematch between the Bears v the Rabbitohs. Not going on Sunday though as I want to watch the Usyk v Fury heavyweight boxing bout for all the belts.
Hopefully I’ll talk to Daniel Dickson, Kurt De Luis and others before I have one to many beers lol.
