Who's mum ?NSWRL - great granddad
ARL - granddad
NRL - dad
Like suggesting one’s granddad isn’t family because they have a different last name. Even though by blood without them, there’s no you.

Way to miss the point. Common with you?Who's mum ?
Lightn up mate, it was a joke. But your model has the massive flaw of not including the significance of the QRL and it contribution of players to the NSWRL and now we have the Dolphins... so who's thier dad ??Way to miss the point. Common with you?
Not the QRL though.
My model is equally a joke, it was a shit analogy.Lightn up mate, it was a joke. But your model has the massive flaw of not including the significance of the QRL and it contribution of players to the NSWRL and now we have the Dolphins... so who's thier dad ??
Actually pretty dumb.
The next iteration should be the PRLMy model is equally a joke, it was a shit analogy.
Dolphins joined a comp. Their comp didn’t merge with another comp where therefore all histories would have merged together. That’s the main difference.
The significance of the QRL isn’t lost on me. It just isn’t and never was part of the NSWRL. Again the debate is about clubs and achievements, not about individual players transferring from one comp to another.
However people choose to see achievements in one comp in relation to the other is for them to decide and if they think Phins achievements should be counted then that’s ok. I respect that.
But as far as how the official history of the NRL goes it stems from ARL which stems from NSWRL and that’s just how it is.
Surely ORL,The next iteration should be the PRL
Pacific Rugby League
Whether you’re joking or not. It’s not far from the truth to where we are heading. The next iteration should be the PRL

Definitely not joking, we already have NZ , so National as it stands doesn’t apply. I would suggest though that it would probably stay the NRL because of its brand power.Whether you’re joking or not. It’s not far from the truth to where we are heading.
October 13.So what date does everyone think expansion announcement will be made?
I predict it could be around Thur or Fri next week prior to the PMXIII game on the Sunday. Gives GF win some clear media then keeps the game in the media prior to the test match series. Announcing juts prior to PNG game gives that event a lot more excitement.
lol you're going to be as accurate as Wb's PNG in 2026 in Cairns prediction.October 13.
Same date as the Dolphins, give or take a day, for inclusion in 2026, same timeline as the Dolphins, for another NZ team to create a rival for a team that has an extraordinarily large market all to itself like the Broncos had and as the Warriors currently has.
I've said it all along. It's as obvious as the sunrise.
Will be a great lead into the game in Christchurch for a week and a half doing interviews, stadium inspections , tours of the city and talking with locals ect..
A bigger TV deal with Australia and NZ will then fund our less sustainable genuine expansion teams of Perth and Adelaide.
Perth 2029 and Adelaide 2032. Gives all expansion teams 3 years clear to bed and inline with the 20 team by 2032 goal.
It's all been stated by NRL hq but once again everyone on here thinks that the daily telegraph decides expansion or the bloody government lol.
This is a business that has stated a clear growth strategy and a timeline for that.
But you never know... might be: f**k it, let's put a team in a third world country.. or let's put a team that will drain our already depleted talent pool...
We'll see, what's yours? Time frame, dates and locations?lol you're going to be as accurate as Wb's PNG in 2026 in Cairns prediction.
It's all set then...lolWestern Bears 2027. It’s set.
PNG 2028 but might be pushed to 2029. It’s set.
Team #20 somewhere between 2032-2035. Location undecided but likely South Island NZ.
I'm saying they'll announce WA 2027, PNG 2028 and leave club 20 open for a decision at a later date. We'll see, what's yours? Time frame, dates and locations?
OK that fills me with great confidence.I'm saying they'll announce WA 2027, PNG 2028 and leave club 20 open for a decision at a later date.
Check the TV ratings I said, easy to pull a stadium full of expats. Ratings remain pathetic after decades stop the AFL cheerleadingNRL TV ratings are flying.
But you said that AFL isn’t a thing in Brisbane and I said you’re wrong. This was never about which code is more supported so don’t try to change the point of the topic which you brought up by saying it isn’t a thing here.
Lions (36,000) & Suns (21,000) combined average crowd is 57,000.
Broncos (39,875) & Titans (16,240) combined average is 56,115.
However when you add Dolphins (23,940) into the mix that’s when the RL average sky rockets to 80,055. Much higher than AFL.
Like I said, Brisbane-ites turn up to see local clubs when they’re going well. Considering the difference is only 4,000 between Lions and Broncos in 2024 proves this. Once Broncos play abit better I’m sure their average will rise to above 42,000 and conversely when Lions drop back down their average will dip below 30,000.
But right here, right now. It’s a thing and whatever you think, it doesn’t matter because you’re factually wrong. If it wasn’t a thing wtf would 36,000 people on average turn up to Lions games or almost half a million in Brisbane region tune in for the GF?
It’s a thing mate, like it or loath it who gives a f**k. That’s all I’m trying to say to you, it was never a code vs code debate. It’s more a don’t talk nonsense debate.
Lastly, considering you clearly don’t even know what local suburban sports clubs are in the very suburb you live in. If you have kids, maybe you can consider signing them up to Easts Mt Gravatt Eagles JRL. They need players. At the moment Hawks Soccer and Vultures AFL are taking on juniors in droves.

First point, is yes of course the records came across from the NSWRL. I'm not denying the current system, I'm arguing for it to change. The NSWRL handing the running of their competition over to the ARL, The records and everything moved across too. QRL didn't and stayed a different comp.
