In Context fkwit, we were talking about splitting the comp into 2 conferences, yet you still harp on about it, and as for geography... you know SFA
Oh my Kindy insults again ho ho ho hum zzzzzzzzzzzzzz - game set and match to me as they say - Perth is North as it lines up with Newcastle one of your best.

A Dave Hill (Slade) moment when he asked how would they would fly from the UK to LA then to Sydney- Their Manager Big Chas Chandler explaining with a world map he folded around into a tube shape "Dave the World is round you just fly the other way"

The warriors have had plenty of Union schoolboys play for their junior teams over the years and maybe they could have attracted much more had they been more successful on the pitch or a better run club.
and there is no guarantees a smaller club in christchurch would be any better, in fact given the challenges of being a second club in a smaller city where rugby union is strongest in nz would suggest they will find it even harder, it’s just wishful thinking to think putting a club in Christchurch is somehow going to have swarms of union players swapping codes and doing something the warriors have been unable to do after all these years.

Maybe they will and maybe they won’t but unless we try we’ll never know.

when the warriors are going well they get good crowds and media coverage in NZ and there’s no reason to think the same couldn’t be said about a Christchurch team but what we do know for certain is that a NRL team based in Christchurch would offer upto 30 professional 1st team contracts for local kiwi based players to aim for as would the junior sides.

Warriors can’t find 30 good kiwi players, somehow we are now going to find 60? But yeh let’s try it and see lol

most kiwis in Australian nrl clubs have been developed in the Australian system etc from 12-15 years old or younger. There are very few coming over at 18-20 and making it. That would suggest the development system is the key, not where kids are born.

For me i can see the reasoning behind a 2nd Auckland side, going off population if you were to add both Christchurch and Wellington regional areas it would be around just over 1mil, which if you add the population regions in and around Auckland and BoP gets around 2.5 million, yes the warriors are already in Auckland, but that is half the problem, do you want a cross town rivalry in a city that follows RL, or do you want a cross region rivalry in a not so RL region and then they are split over 2 islands effectively splitting that demographic into Wellington being really not so hard core sport, and Christchurch being hardcore union?
Personally i'd say go for the Wellington/LowerHutt -Christchurch area anyway and try it out (but i'm a tree hugging expansionist)... and if they still want to throw in another nz based team you can in splitting Auckland at anytime.... but it looks like they'll do that straight away

Auckland2 is more viable than christchurch, or even worse some dragons style split between two cities that smacks of desperation to be Able to get enough people interested.

Having said that warriors struggle on and off the field so is bringing in a competitor to the same market really a good idea? it'd be like starting up another store right next door to one that is already having problems selling enough to stay afloat.

it’ll be interesting to see how the games on fta streaming do in nz and where the audience is, that might help show where the future potential lies.

mmm maybe the site owners are worried about the legal implications of not deleting such posts which are only "opinions" and not based on any facts that could sustain such "opinions" - just because you hide behind a fictitious name when posting does not make you less liable under law for what you post nor the site owners in allowing such posts to remain and not be deleted.

You even acknowledge your remarks/posts are derogatory.

Keep shinning them apples...
Can't remember The last time i seen my posts regarding Melbourne storm or Cronulla sharks get deleted, seems to only happen with your mob..

A 2nd Auckland side probably in the southern suburbs is probably the go whilst also trying to the regions of Waikato and BoP involved
We employ people to shine the apples. You just need to be mindful of what you post- it's not that hard
