My side would differ somewhat to that listed above .... its all a matter of opinion
however i would like to point out a couple of things if I may
The side encompasses 1980 to 2005.
I have considered players at the peak of their powers and in some cases this goes above and beyond longevity
1. Darren Lockyer (gk)
2. Michael Hancock
3. Gene Miles
4. Steve Renouf
5. Wendell Sailor
6. Kevin Walters
7. Allan Langer
8. Glenn Lazarus
9. Greg Conescu
10. Shane Webcke
11. Gorden Tallis
12. Brian Niebling
13. Wally Lewis (c)
14. Greg Dowling
15. Brad Thorn
16. Petero Civoniceva
17. Dale Shearer
Coach : Wayne Bennett
Honorable mentions but no cigar : - Sam Backo, Terry Matterson, Gavin Allen, Trevor Gillmeister, Shaun Berrigan, Michael DeVere, Andrew Gee, Darren Smith, Anthony Mundine, Luke Priddis, Julian O'Neil, Lote Tuqiri, Kerrod Walters.
Once again, only my opinion. Has balance, bench covers every position, suits the modern day style of play and would be competitive with any side (including international and state) of any era imho.
Oink !
