The past few results here have been surprising, especially the last one back in 17/18

I think we're better than we were then with the emergence of Marnus

Bowling has gone backwards since then. Batting lineup still heavily relies on 2-3 guys.

For sure, but there’s degrees. Pucovski is never going to be great at handling the short ball, but maybe he can get to an passable level along the lines of Steve Waugh? Waugh developed a technique of being able to take the ball on the body a bit. Playing down the order will assist him.
Yep, this… although multiple concussions is a problem

interesting series. Australia should win at home, just like England would win in England, test cricket is great!

Its all a joke everytime the poms come out here we just say 5-0 to wind them up ever since Glenn McGrath started saying it during his career.

In fact since watching my first ashes series in Australia the 02/03 summer every series has gone close to 5-0 except the year england won in 10/11.

02/03 - 4-1 england won a consolation game in Sydney.
06/07 - 5-0
13/14 - 5-0
17/18 - 4-0 england got a draw in Melbourne when series was over.

All been over in Game 3 at perth
1998/99 was 3-1 and should’ve been 4-1 bar the Gabba.
England 6 down and play on Day 5 reduced to 29 overs due to thunderstorms.

Wasn't old enough to remember that series unfortunately.

Have seen the youtube highlights of that Gabba test though that thunderstorm looked wild the ground was a swamp by the end

Poms didn’t win at home

Or did they win by scoring more boundaries ? Understandable thought process coming from a kiwi ;)
I said “would win” NOT “won”, just my opinion…. Should have said “should”, as in Parramatta “should” be better than they are…

I had a $100 bet with my old man we’d win it 4-1 in 98/99.
I remember being fking gutted.

Pucovski will be out for the test series.

There's no red ball cricket for months and I don't think he'll be playing the slap happy game.

Starc has bowled rubbish since the Adelaide test last year, Warne is a narcissistic plastic faced POS but he’s on the money with the Pockfaced Pie thrower.
A full toss 2 metres outside leg stump can’t be classified as a pie
