It's pretty obvious Boof has no faith in Hughes now, although I don't think going with marsh and Faulkner has batting alrounders weakens us too much. Faulkner averages 46 in Odis and has a ton and marsh is a quality batsmen as well and then you have Johnson and starc in the tail who can both handle the bat.

Richardson goes the long handle too.

We only took 4 specialist batsmen on the whole tour including Hoos, one's out injured and he still can't get a gig.

Hide the razorblades from BM.

Yea he goes well too. I find the specialist bat term a bit weird in odi and t20 cricket, everyone in the top 7 is expected to pull their wight in those formats. I am looking forward to see how maxwell goes, he was killing it in the Ipl.

Keep in mind the "whole tour" comprises of of 4 ODI's and one ODI final.

I don't think we are gonna be too bothered if SA beat us tbh

resting Watson, Warner, Clarke on a useless overseas tour isn't a bad thing, they have 6 tests coming up and a bunch of ODIs plus the World cup coming up over the next 6 months

im friends with Sean Williams and some of the up and comers and im telling ya if zimbabwe could retain their talent they would be at least NZ level.

youse have no idea what gets through thye cracks
the county scene and the level below county are littered with zimbabweans.
more tragically alot iof them just drift away from the game full stop.
blignauts running a sport shop. barney rogers sells cars. etc

you have english under 19s born in zim. hilton cartwright from WA born in zim. kyle jarvis the ervines etc etc

all because admin are both incopetent and thieves

Slow start but they are starting to get into gear, looks a slow pitch and hard to get going.

Haddin looked very rusty at the start but his starting to look better now. That's fair enough when it's his first real cricket since the summer ended.

That four he spanked from outside off was the goods.

Yea unlucky getting out but he looked in good form, which is a good sign with the tests coming up. I get the feeling Aus will post about 300 here with the way their rotating the strike and hitting the odd boundary.

Marsh starting to look real good here. It's always good to see a number three stick it out rather then throw his wicket away and bat in partnerships rather then focusing on being the star batsmen.
