im friends with Sean Williams and some of the up and comers and im telling ya if zimbabwe could retain their talent they would be at least NZ level.

youse have no idea what gets through thye cracks
the county scene and the level below county are littered with zimbabweans.
more tragically alot iof them just drift away from the game full stop.
blignauts running a sport shop. barney rogers sells cars. etc

you have english under 19s born in zim. hilton cartwright from WA born in zim. kyle jarvis the ervines etc etc

all because admin are both incopetent and thieves

I was thinking about this the other day, what amazes me is not just their 'high profile' defections like Kyle Jarvis and Sean Ervine, but the ones who just disappear.

Barney Rogers as a car salesman, see that interests me - no idea what happened to him. Just vanished. Keegan Meth is another one that's made me wonder lately - with Jarvis the two of them actually looked a potent new-ball paring. Vanished.

They just stop appearing on scorecards on Cricinfo. No articles or anything talking about what happened to them, they just stop appearing.

Everybody gets a wicket here, Richardson the only wicketless bowler at the moment. Good performance so far as a bowling unit considering they have not played a one dayer since January.

If you want to know- Keegan like most started to lose interest in all the money not being paid on time and went to canada to be with his wife (mad rack) and i think they are having troubles.
He played for Matabeleland last year then went awol to canada and it annoyed Staddon (The CEO) and he wasnt welcome back...
but it hink he will return to the domestic league this year, i also think cremer (another vanished talent) will too.

theres a guy named higgins playing under 19s for enfland.

there big up n comer is a 16 yr old named nick welch. has a very passionate dad as well (who loves league btw) and is great to talk too.
they have a cricket setup in their backyard and people are saying he will be better than pitersen.

but he may be lost to england as well with the other young 'uns like malcolm lake, ryan burl and kevin currans kids.

Lake made a cenury against india in the 19s WC last year and has just drifted away.

That Mitchell six reminds me of the last bit of the 12th Man Again album...
