Lol. I get that this is a nothing series (no offence to NZ as a side, but we fly to India in a week or so) but how do our selectors keep their jobs when they disrespect their opponents so often? The bowling attack we sent to SA was an absolute joke and now we've picked a side with four genuine batsmen plus a debutante who has never played a One Day game domestically, and one of those batsmen is in his fourth game whilst one hasn't scored an ODI hundred in forty games or something.

If I phoned it in like that I'd get sacked....

Yeah, if I was Cricket SA and Cricket NZ I would be making a joint complaint to the ICC. These are meant to be marquee series in those countries and the disrespect we show is huge.

Imagine the outrage if NZ decided to leave Boult and Southee at home, or SA left Amla and Steyn at home with no reason other than 'rest'. CA would cry bloody murder. But it's ok when we do it to them?

We play SL next in 3 t20s, they just beat South Africa in a 3 game series, we will be missing the test squad guys like smith, warner, Maxwell, MMarsh, Starc, hazelwood etc...

That said Starc and Haze were genuinely injured werent they for south africa and Smith is genuinely injured here.

The facts are we are a team of plodders and sloggers held together by warner, smith, haze and starc and if you remove those blokes we suck
