Runouts are always frustrating but I'd argue Guptill's was more of a brain explosion than outright stupidity. Elliott had already had several balls worth of not connecting properly with rash shots and still refused to calm down. Worse in my book.

He is in the current icc odi team. A higher standard than mere top ten.

He has slipped out of top ten due to being injured and not playing.

He was top ten before missing matches.

Yeah he is way out of form.

Still plenty of time. This is always the danger with a fast start, players come in and try to keep it going before they're set (Elliott) and the needless run out certainly didn't help.

These two need to be responsible here initially. Both are capable of catching up in the final 10.
