Ponting, Clark, Haddin all helping. But North playing an outstanding innings.

Hopefully Johnson can fire up and get the wickets we need.

Alot of credit must go to Johnson.

What an ultra consistent lower order batsman he is.

And he's making the selection of McDonald look all the more ridiculous.

Funny how little Victorians understand about the game.

Funny how little the people from nsw seem to understand the game of cricket.
Yes McDoanald went out for a duck but at least he was out off a gem of a delivery compared to Hughes who played one of the worst shots i've ever seen. Not to mention the fact that he's still to bowl.
Next for his selection. Averaging 44.5 with the bat this year compared to Norths 38.85 and 22 wickets at 21.32 with an economy of 2.62 compared to Bollingers 18 @ 23.72 with an economy of 2.94. So to say that he doesn't deserve selection just smacks of pure bias against Victorians. Compared to Bollinger he deserves to be in there on his bowling alone and compared to North he deserves to be in there for his batting. Not to mention in the last test he took more wickets for less runs than Bollinger even if he was unlucky with a few lbw appeals.
As for blaming it all on Merv how hard is it for you all to understand that Boon is the selector on tour and along with Ponting and Nielson makes the final choice on who plays and who doesn't.

If Johnson could bowl well then he'd be one of the worlds best cricketers.

But in the words of Mark Nicholas,"if he can just develop one that swings". Or one that seams.

Basically something to go with his deadly wicket taking half-tracker.

Exactly what i was thinking, why do you need to pick an all rounder when you have a bloke like Johnson in your team.......

Or maybe McDonald was picked because they think he is a better bowler than Dougie

Also Ricky probably wanted him so he doesnt get suspended as he would if they played 4 quicks

If Ian Bell plays the Ashes then Johnson will get atleast 10 wickets

Aren't you the dribbler that reckoned County cricket was almost the same as International???? Or was that Evotard.??? Funny the only people who think Ronny is up to test standard are Victorians.......
