The last replay they showed was the best of the lot but it was too late for the 3rd umpire. Right call made, but they should get sniko onto that if possible.

i thought it was a typical Ntini delivery

always has a lot of angle because of how wide he bowls from

If you wanna prove you should be there, get runs on a day like this. If anyone does get runs today though, it will be the usual suspects. I hope im wrong but id be suprised if Haddin comes out and gets a big one on a day like this.

Couldn't agree more. Wickets like these are the ones where you have to work for your runs. Separates the guys who can flash a 100 and the guys who can graft a 50.

3rd ump isn't allowed to use snicko or hawkeye on referred decisions, just the vision.

And as for that ball from Ntini....wow. He bowls wide on the crease, and the ball is moving about, but still....wow. Important knock from Punter. He was putting together an excellent, gritty innings. It's scary that we are four down, and he is already out, but he's scored more than half our runs. :/ Does not make good reading.

Carn Pup. Carn North. Carn Hadds. Carn Sidds.

Let's hope the wicket doesn't get any easier to bat on.

If it doesn't then 300 could be a decent total and 350 a big one.

I thought I saw them using hawkeye somewhere probably wasn't looking at it properly. But I see no reason why snicko shouldn't be used, it's not like it is predicting something like hawk eye.

I dunno, snicko isn't 100% conclusive either though. Sometimes the bat creaks at the wrong time and everyone sees snicko go wild. Better to just use the eyes and at least be able to blame human error rather than some computer giving you a bad reading.

I wouldn't have a problem with them using hot spot. It seems to be more accurate than snicko.

As for that ball that knocked Punter over...wow. You cop one like that and you just have to acknowledge there was nothing you could have ever done about it.

I hated hotspot when it came in. Because it only ever really showed anything when there was a massive edge etc. But I have seen it develop over the past two years, and while it still won't show anything up off a feather of an edge, it is useful in determining stuff like whether the ball hit bat or pad first etc.

I think that would be a piece of technology that would be acceptable and quite useful for the 3rd ump, but as far as I know they can't use any of them. Although I can't be sure on Hotspot, I am basically 100% on the other two.

Yeah it was a fair delivery. They had quite a nice bit of camera work actually from Ntini's arm...followed the ball down the pitch and it was straight, straight, and then it just went

Stuart Clarke is doing a really good job on the coverage I reckon...BJ and Junior are fairly useless commentators and TV personalities but he's doing a really professional job and has some good things to say

I reckons Mark Waugh does OK. Straight to the point.
