I don't know if you guys are aware but the Australian cricket team has been full of wankers for about 100 years. I don't know why Shane Watson gets it worse than say Shane Warne who literally chased a bloke off the field in South Africa giving him a send off.

They are all over the top send offs. Warne's was probably worse as far as taking the game into disrepute.

Watson has been doing his job. He has been scoring runs and taking wickets. What more can you ask of a batting allrounder.

I am pretty sure a lot of the animosity towards him comes from the various forum Nostradamus predicting he would be a dud and look out.... he has been the most consistent cricketer in the side in ALL FORMS of the game since he came back into the test side.

He can bounce up and down like the energiser bunny for all I care. If he is taking wickets and scoring runs he deserves his spot in the side.

Making 100's would be nice but you can make 1 100 and fail every other time, doesn't mean you're in form. Watson is consistently scoring 70's, 80's and 90's but just falling short of the tonne. People shouldn't let pettiness disguise the fact that he's been doing the job he was selected for.

Do we really expect them to be role models and behave perfectly? This is Test cricket, not some tea and crumpets county game. I agree Watson needs to watch himself, but we should still want him to succeed and not say 'sucked in' to players when they get run out. You cheer for the team then you cheer for all its players.

I didn't celebrate it as much as I thought it was funny and it was. Mind you, I don't support the Australian cricket team and never have (so you can't deny me a celebration, if I wanted to celebrate it)

I kinda like him. Adds a bit of personality to the game. Maybe he should tone back the bouncing over the top send offs but I like his antics mostly.

Remember when he first came back into the test side and everytime the ball rolled back towards his stumps he would jump around like a ninja :lol:

I like crazy Shane most of the time.
