Your surely kidding yourself. He bowled superbly at the MCG so get it up ya.

He bowled no better than he did in Perth, Adelaide or Brisbane. He took wickets in all four venues. There is no miraculous form reversal.....

I certainly don't think Johnson is some fast bowling great. He's a very good first change bowler with the happy knack of conning batsmen to chase wide rubbish. But I did think in Melbourne he got a lot tighter to the stumps and that meant with his low arm the ball was coming out almost over middle peg. By not bothering with swing to much when he bowled straight it gave any movement off the pitch just that little bit extra chance of picking up an edge. His first over yesterday was like this with good straight balls just outside off hitting the deck and moving away a little. Two found the edge to Haddin and the third didn't miss by much.

I'd definitely call that an improvement from him. Much better to see knicks to the keeper from straight bats than thick edges to third slip or gully from slashes out near the return crease. I think his sh*t quotient was way down on his usual bowling efforts. The only thing I was pissed about was the way Ponting raced to pull Dougy off once he had exposed the tail in both innings to give Johnson a chance for a late wicket.

I've always been pretty comfortable with Siddle, but he needs to start making some breakthroughs. If the SCG wasn't becoming as seam friendly as it has been lately then he could have been carrying the drinks with Smith taking his spot.

You blokes surely have to give Hauritz a bit of credit. He has improved dramatically in the last year and he did bowl Australia to victory even though we would have most likely won anyway. Swallow some pride and stop carrying on.

I know your pride has been dented with Watto doing welll Johnson finding form and now Hauritz taking wickets but I think it is time for some of you to turn into men.

Now all that it needs is Siddle to find some form, and some people will be completely shattered. And maybe North to get a 2nd inns ton.

The way he bowled in the MCG was perfect, good line and length and wasn't being smashed at 4 an over. That is how the leader of the pack should be bowling. Now hopefully he doesn't go to sh*t again.

Yep it was good stuff from Dougie wasn't it. Johnson seems to be picking tips up from the best left arm quick in the country.

bahahahah, Dougie and Mitch are a good pairing IMO, the only trouble is what happens when Hilfy is fit and if Siddle jags wickets. We all know how Punter feels about Siddle so I fear for Dougie!

Seriously getting embarrassing now.

When he gets his 400th test wicket the same people on this forum will be saying blah blah wickets from bad balls blah blah captain's pet blah blah only gets tail orders blah blah.

International player of the year, world's leading wicket taker, world's leading fast bowler by miles.

People who Have written him off are just making sh!t up to justify their position in hindsight.

He's not Glenn mcgrath or wasim
akram but he does his best and has been our best for 18
months at least and one of if not the best in the world
at a time that's not exactly a golden age for fast bowlers.

Anyone who says he is crap is either not being honest or has never faced a genuine left arm quick. I don't know how
many times I have said it but a left armer who bowls 150 is worth his weight in gold.
