They'll get their money back (surely)

Locky's an idiot, still.

They picked the best bowling Lineup, Starc has far from proven himself with the red ball at this point. They didnt bowl brilliantly yesterday but the pitch was flat and the opposition was classy, a massive step up on what we've faced the last few test series.

If you get throgh the next couple of wickets there isnt a huge amount of batting after number 5 (well particularly with no duminy). A long tail but none of them outstanding, particularly with Rudolph at 6

Khawaja's brought up a ton on a pitch Tasmania got rolled for 95 on. Against a bowling attack of Butterworth (average 23) Faulkner (23) and Bird (18)

Not bad.

Quiney scored the most Shield runs across the 2010/11-2011/12 seasons, he's done well.

But Khawaja making runs in the shield and, hopefully, continuing to make runs, really earning his shot at test selection again, is good for Australia in the long run.

He's 30 and averages 37, one season doesn't mean much IMO. Plus he plays on those dead drop in pitches and the MCG half the season. Don't rate him at all. Oozie is a much better player and was treated poorly by the selectors and Locky disagreeing with me only proves my point.

Two seasons of alot of runs is a good effort regardless IMO

Anyway, I agree Khawaja was f**ked around by the selectors in the first case, hung out to dry basically, however that doesnt change the fact that he'd been fairly shit since he got dropped, part of it seemingly attitude related as well, and had not earnt a recall.

I think it's great he scored runs today, he's got a big future.

To be fair to Oozi after he got dropped there was a month of the Big Beat off, hardly the best play to recapture your best form. And if he had of been kept who knows he could have hammered that crappy Indian attack. I mean the whole side looked like world beaters.
