We're going to have to bat last against the crack, and chase 250 plus most likely.
The problem is they're all millionaires now even without test cricket. They feel like they don't need it so their egos are out of control.I'm actually starting to think that these younger Gen Y upstarts or whatever you call them, are immune to leadership. they're all ego and arrogance when they get to the test side these days and think they know it all . I reckon it would be a merkin of a job trying to galvanise them and win their hearts and minds. completely different to what it was like when Border et al was skipper and you didn't dare pass wind in the dressing room in case you got throttled...
I'd take 250 right now. I fear it'll be more like 350.We're going to have to bat last against the crack, and chase 250 plus most likely.
We chucked it away yesterday. i dont think we should blame anyone but the selectors.
ITs not marsh fault he is in the side when he clearly isnt good enough.,
Like question for the thread. foreigners are invited to answer
Is mitch marsh the worst batsman in the top 6 in the world
Here is his record 600 runs @ 24 and 2 50s
Here is mitchell starcs record 769 runs @ 24.80 runs and 6 50s
Difference is they have an actual complete batting lineup. 6 guys who can bat well at test level. Our genius selectors think you can win by picking 3 form batsmen. 2 quicks and a mediocre spinner is all you need to rip through us.Saffers specials to win with 2 fast bowlers and a spinner bowling straight breaks.
6. Marsh
7. Neville
Doesn't work. Either need to get a lesser keeper who can bat or get a straight out batsmen at 6 and go with just the four bowlers.
NZ does the same thing with Santer batting 6. Gives me the shits. Need more than 5 specialist bats these days and if your keeper can't average at least 30 if not 35 then you're asking for trouble.
