I only thing I can think of is they were going for a love/hate thing. How people use to see Tony Greig, who plays the villain very well. But with Nicholas its all hate.

pin up boy has really caused a problem with his new batting technique, he's basically caused a new problem in trying to solve his old problem

he looks very Graham Smith like batting so far outside off stump, that ball that he got out on could have been left, or at least played straight but by getting so far outside off stump he is playing balls that are outside off stump around to the onside and played one onto his stumps that he should have left

he really has over corrected
