There's got to be a gag about Lunch and having Sanga's there.

I got one.

I have a feeling that Kumar Sangakarra, due to the first half of his surname being 'sanga' (that is, a slang term for a sausage), would heartily enjoy a barbecued lunch at the upcoming interval-most likely with the inclusion of a sausage sandwich or similar.

The green is meaningless.

, it looks like a front lawn and the ball is doing nothing.

Only person I see under estimating the pitch was you. On day one 80% of us said it had variable bounce yet you try to tell us it was f**ken clouds or some shit. Keep up with yourself.

I understand the rule for pitching outside leg stump because you don't want to reward defensive bowling but I don't understand the rule for hitting outside off stump. For example that delivery there, what purpose does it serve when that isn't given out. That delivery should be rewarded.

If it's going to go on to hit the stumps from there it should be out.
E Mail the ICC, i'm sure they will take your views seriously like we all do on here

Batsman should be able to leave balls outside the offstump without concern about cowboy umpires fingering them for one that moves a little bit.

The new tech proves whether a ball was going to come back enough to hit or not. This tech didn't exist when the rule was introduced.

If there was no protection for the batsman, they'd be given out when a ball jags or spins with the umpire speculating whether it would have come back enough to hit the stumps or not. They are already under enough pressure, the last thing they need is being faced with those decisions.

Good rule, should stay.

It also prevents the Indians from appealing every time a ball hits a pad

oh wait..

:) Surely sanga is slang for sandwich though and snag slang for sausage?

I agree it's understandable in the time before reviews. But now with reviews you can reward good accurate bowling and if a batsman feels wronged he can review.

As for batsmen having enough on their plate, in my opinion almost everything in the modern game has made the game easier for them. I think making this change in the bowlers favour would even the game out more.

As for the Indians, we should ban them from all forms of the game until they accept reviews. People say they bring in a lot of money to the game but they'd have nothing without international cricket and would fold and accept reviews asap.
