The door is open for Bancroft despite what the papers say.

4 shield games in February/March plus the final which WA are every chance to make (I'd say Bancroft is unlikely to be on the plane to NZ unless there is an injury).

However if he wants to listen to his fanboys in the press he will kick stones and not get another chance. He isn't the first player in the world who has missed selection after good form.

Green has been given 14 more test matches than Bancroft.
