Kumble hasn't had great time of late, since Melbourne last year. In the first innings Kumble finished with figures of 43-6-129-0. In the last 20 innings in which he has bowled, Kumble has conceded over 100 runs on 10 occasions and managed only 44 wickets in 14 Tests - that's just over three wickets per match at an average of almost 40.

Good partnership by Watto and Haddin, well done lads, needed runs quick, and they have delivered

4.02 of 13 overs.

*I rate players on performance, not looks*

i think we will go for quick runs tomorrow, try and get a quick 40-50 if possible in 30 mins then declare

we should have over 300 by then

5/187 - 257 lead, 5 overs to go

We have to set a gettable target, that way India will attack.

wether you set 280 or 330, they are gonna have a lot of overs to get the runs. There is only one player that is going to attack at the top of the order to try and get them - that is Sehwag. The others will choke themselves out of the contest

Id put in Dhoni at 3 if India are serious about a run chase

Well Done to Sunshine and Haddin, the only batsman keen to have a go. It's makes a difference when a batsman shows some intent.

Disappointed to see people criticising Hayden and Katich so readily today.

Pathetic.

I thought Katich played a good knock. Some people dont understand test cricket.

We lost an early wicket and the Indians had their tails up. It was important we occupy the crease and build. He did his job fine, it wa sjust a shame he was dismissed when he was - he was starting to get on top.

Anyway, who else thinks Ponting will balls up the declaration?

I reckon we might already have enough runs on this wicket

still like to have a look at it first to decide

Just saw the wicket on the news.
That is the worst wicket ever.
If it were a pitch in a local match they would call the game off because the pitch looks dangerous.

you dont have to be Einstein to know we wont be declaring overnight

agree with what twizzle has said,

up to haddin, sunshine and white to have a good look and feel about the wicket this morning and report back to punter on how the wicket is playing. If there isnt too many demons in it, we most likely bat for a good hour before thinking about declaring

im predicting we will set them around 310 runs off 70 overs
