Wagner could be the next big thing for me, capable of cranking up good pace and swing and he's been taking wickets by the bucket loads in first class cricket.

This test could be where he announces himself.

unbelievable, we're having a summer for the ages, and the first day of a test it rains at that venue... pretty much nowhere else in the country :crazy:

Although they have shown Astle's amazing blazing 222 against England in Christchurch... one of those things that you remember where you were, anyone near a TV stopped... except my wife, who was shouting at me from the garden, words like "lazy", and "bastard" were used, and my pleas to her to come and watch because we'll never see the like again were not answered in the positive

And yeah pretty ironic with the rain given everywhere else in the country runs were being smashed all over the place. Over 2000 runs scored in the 3 domestic one-day games today.
