Wow, that was reminiscent of Australia's innings' at Trent Bridge and the one in RSA where they were 9-20 odd.
Tbh it's the best thing that could have happened.
English cricket always veers from excellent to the ridiculous in short time spans and when we do become awful we're always slow to react. For example our ODI side was still stuck in the 90s playing style right into the last WC ffs.
So hopefully these kind of performances bring about the necessary change ahead of the home summer in a similar fashion to when Australia were embarrassed by the Saffas in Hobart which forced a mass rethink.
Short term pain, long term gain.
