Boult hits Philander for a 22-run over and then Martin gets out. NZ all out for 273, a useful little lead of 35.

5. Hit a single and SA had a shy at the stumps and it went for 4 overthrows .

Kallis and Smith consolidating a bit for SA here. 93/2, lead of 58.

Thats a solid effort from Martin.

Thats 4.2% of his total career runs in one innings.

To put that into perspective, to score 4.2% of his total career runs in one innings, Ricky Ponting would need to score 515 next time he strides out to bat.

Is it just me or is cricinfo not working?

How many did the Phanton make?
cricinfo is currently down and I have been going mental all morning without it even though I am watching the game on tv, but I have been doing housework at the same time and I NEED cricinfo. I can't live without it. It's just below oxygen on the list of things I need to get by

Pitch looks pretty flat really. Decent crowd in though. NZ need a wicket soon, Kallis and Smith looking comfortable

South Africa have consolidated a bit with this partnership after a bad start to the day. Kallis didn't start well, but is batting beautifully right now. Smith has been solid all day, but he is to blame for the Philander over in the morning going for 22 (for setting a stupid field) and South Africa starting this innings behind by 35.

Partnership is on 60 odd right now, Smith is closing in on his 50 and Kallis is on 29. I can't check figures because cricinfo isn't working and this stupid coverage doesn't give enough information and I am struggling to count and clean at the same time. South Africa 106//2, lead by 71

Kallis just reached 50 and the lead is over 100 now, partnership closing in on 100 as well. South Africa 143/2

at Tea on Day 3, South Africa are 175/2, lead by 140. Smith is on 80, Kallis on 66, both were going quite strong in the second session

Just use blackcaps.co.nz for online scores, it's working fine.

Bracewell is looking very good with the ball. Long term, he could be an excellent spearhead for NZ, just needs a yard of pace. Boult is the same.

Southee really needs to be dropped for the next test. He is cannon fodder for this SA team.

I should have chucked the life savings on SA when they opened up at $3 yesterday morning

Agree with Southee. As promising as he was to start his career, he has been woeful in the last few months.

I feel Southee will end up being one of those 'could have been' players.

He generates prodigious swing, seam and is capable of getting good bounce. But he always looks innocuous as well against even remotely quality batting.

You may have had even better odds after Amla got out this morning

century up for Greame Smith:clap::clap::clap:
I have been very critical of him over the past 12 months, but this has been a very solid knock. I just hope he can keep some form up over the next few months, and wrack up a few centuries in England.
