Another boundary for Bracewell and New Zealand are closing in on a lead. The good news for South Africa is that the new ball is due soon and Vernon should clean up with it

I think Steyn has been a bit off today. Vernon and Morne to be given the second new ball

review in progress. New Zealand get luck with umpires call on where it's pitching. Great over from Morne regardless. And South Africa have used up their reviews

Vernon has the other end. Love it when Smith listens to me. Not that there was any doubt Vernon would have the new ball from one end. And there is his first wicket with the new ball. van Wyk gone for 36. New Zealand 229/7, trail by 9

Vernon gets his second with the new ball, identical dismissal too. New Zealand 229/8 and this could be another test 5fer for Vernon Philander - he's on 4 now

Vernon having a fast bowlers dream playing on all these seamer friendly decks. Will help him break some records.

Steyn has the ball now. I don't really agree, but he needs to redeem some ordinariness in this session. He did start this over well

he didn't get a 5fer in last test, but he got 2 in his previous one, so one here would be 5 test 5fers in his first 5 tests

well, he didn't play the next test, the South Africa camp said is was injury related, but he probably was axed for failing to make another 5fer

This University Oval seems like a suburban ground. It doesn't even have floodlights
Not that shocking really, Lords and Bellrieve only got floodlights the last 5 years, alot of the English grounds dont have floodlights either.

First innings lead to the Kiwi's, well played.
