Doolan has done nothing to warrant his selection. The fap over him is amazing. No Watto now either. Shouldn't be a problem considering Siddle wanks him self raw over our depth.

scored an easy 94 against our pace battery (everyone else struggled), he is the form shield player, and form batsmen outside the test men, plus knows the south african conditions from before and no spinners to worry him

What's the thinking with George Bailey from the selectors. He was good enough for the Ashes but now Doolan AND Hughes AND Marsh are ahead of him. I can't understand how they pick him for the Ashes and then don't even consider him as one of our best 8 bats a month later.

I'm not complaining about him not being picked now (he seems like a great bloke, just not a test bat) but it goes to show how stupid his Ashes selection was.

Henriques isnt bad, hes just a bowling all rounder. Should bat 7 in most tests he plays.


There's simply no way lyon doesn't play, you need some variation in test cricket & over rates are an issue.

The selectors are in love with an all rounder. Personally I don't think we need one. This should be a very good pitch for quicks. I'd go with four full time quicks and leave Lyon out but the selectors won't do that.

If Lyon must be played I think the next best option is just to go with 3 quicks. If Harris AND Siddle AND Johnson fail to get enough wickets at Centurion what the hell is Henriques gunna do?
