Alright... so lets do a sweep here... of how long South Africa take to win the test.

A: Less than 2 days
B: Between 2-2.5 days
C: Between 2.5 and 3 days

Wow. That was insane.

Send the SOS to Ryder and Taylor. And can Ronchi qualify soon enough or what?

Halla will probably be able to answer this..

Isn't there a theory that teams have massive collapses at Newlands due to it being so close to the coast and the incoming tide can cause the wicket to play up??..

I'm sure i've heard the commentators talking about it before..

dont know about Newlands but tis true

generally only in king tides or full moons and the pitch gets pretty soft compared to other times as the water table rises

happens on our home ground pitch in club cricket

yeah, people do say that, but I refuse to believe it's true, they also say similar things about affects of the weather over the mountains. They produce some good pitches here
nope

I'm not bagging the pitch prep, but i've seen that many bizzare collapses at Newlands over the years that there has to be some reason for it..

BTW the tide was on the way in during the kiwis knock..

Kallis is 20 runs shy of his 13,000th test run, can't declare before letting him get past the 13 K,

Smith's been given LBW second ball of the second over so New Zealand do have some hope:lol:

This wicket is insane. Smith out. 11 wickets have fallen before lunch on day 1!
