 and on the subject of Kallis, I was watching highlights of his double century this afternoon, I tend to go through the same emotions when watching highlights of cricket and again I cried when I saw him get the double, such a beautiful moment and de Villiers looked even happier about it than the great man did.

Not that you guys deserve it, but I just like sharing, so here it is

The only south african worth talking about.

The rest of the team are nothing short of pathetic.

Sri Lanka to win the series 3-0.

Are you being serious? I mean Kallis is a great player and man but come on.

it was a big moment, and a long time coming (just ask ParraBoy). I thought it was beautiful.

I often get emotional like that with sports, even seeing the Kiwis win yesterday I thought was huge and I was a bit overwhelmed by. I don't really cry about my team losing though, but I tend to experience games as they happen, I get very emotionally involved in them. And even when I watch extended highlights of a game I've seen, I will go through the same emotions even though I know what's going to happen.

It's probably very odd but I don't care, I love my cricket and I make no apologies for that or any oddness that results from it.

I'm hearing that Sanga is a big chance of missing the first test, so we may have to wait til the Boxing day match for that contest.

I am most interested in seeing what opening pair SAfrica go with after Australia's tour. Rudolph is in this squad, but Alviro Peterson is too. I am also interested in seeing if Smith can learn how to use a leggy.

For the record, here is the South African squad:

Graeme Smith (capt), AB de Villiers, Hashim Amla, Mark Boucher (wk), Marchant de Lange, Imran Tahir, Jacques Kallis, Morne Morkel, Alviro Petersen, Vernon Philander, Ashwell Prince, Jacques Rudolph, Dale Steyn

If steyn stays fit he'll take a bagful. Morkel too.

I'm thinking that if the proteas want a decent name why not call themselves the Kallises?

Did you cry when they named the side?

Crap South African side.

Sri Lanka 3-0.

the squad named itself, I would like to see Rusty Theron get given more of a shot, but Vernon Philander seems to be pushing out the competition, I am however glad to see someone like Marchant de Lange named in the squad.

This is only the squad for the first test, but it appears to me that Kirsten and co have a lot of confidence in Boucher as the SAfrican keeper

Who do you think is the next keeper of your team. Does your team have any good up and comers? Boucher seems to have been in your team for decades, how much will he be missed if he leaves your team?
