2005 NRL ladder predictions

If everyone bets on us for the spoon, I will buy stocks in Sportstab ;-) , it doesn't worry me what people think we will come next season, I think we will struggle in the first few rounds as we will have a lot of new combinations, but once that gets settled I think we will be a competetive team that will make the 8 and might even scare some teams in the finals.

My Ladder

1. Cowboys
2. Bulldogs
3. Roosters
4. Brisbane
5. Storm
6. Dragons
7. Canberra
8. Penrith
9. Tigers
10. Eels
11. Warriors
12. Knights
13. Manly
14. Sharks
15. Souths

If anyone has problems with it---> Tell someone who cares because I don't

Ok Raiders fans, whats with all the whinging about people not rating your team? What you need other peoples approval or something? Is your belief in your own bloody team that low that you need others to praise them to make you feel better?

I mean seriously what does it matter that most don't rate them?
f**k off you dick. it's called a discussion, which is exactly what the forums are made for.

What a come back, abusive and pointless, are you hoping to become a rooster fan one day?

Yes a forum is for discussion, but what the f**k is the point of whinging every time someone doesn't blow smoke up your team arse? Are Raiders fans egos that fragile they need others to stroke them?

Raiders fans welcome to the real world. We were predicted to get the spoon by every critic because our side was full of "up and comers". We avoided the spoon and egg was seen on faces everywhere.

Take it on the chin and move on.

Raiders fans are like the Rooster fans poorer cousins. Both come running when ever a bad word is said about their club, or anything that doesn't resemble smoke being blown up their teams arse. The only difference is, the Raiders actually do suck.

Ok f**kwit, most people are tipping us for the spoon and we are discussing why we beleive we won't get it. Whats so bad about that? If we get it then everyone will be right and we'll look like a bunch of idiots.

After 26 rounds:

3. Penrith
4. Cowboys
5. Roosters
6. Brisbane
7. Parramatta
8. Melbourne
9. Newcastle
10. Cronulla

14. Manly
15. Wests

I'll care to revise that soon but it's looking right for the time being in my book :D

The finals will pan out:

Week 1
1. Saints v 8. Melbourne @ WIN STG
2. Dogs v 7. Parramatta @ Telstra BUL
3. Penrith v 6. Brisbane @ Penrith BRI
4. Cowboys v 5. Roosters @ DFS NQL
MEL & PAR gorrrn, STG and BUL to Prelims

Week 2
S1: NQL v PEN @ Aussie NQL
S2: BRI v SYD @ Aussie BRI

Week 3
STG v BRI @ Aussie BRI
BUL v NQL @ Telstra 2C2C :?

The GF will have to end up between Brisbane and one of the Dogs/Cows - too hard to split, I believe they will be extremely powerful next year NQld. Can't wait for 05 :D

Face it Tigers, last season was a success for you. Last season was a poor one for us, yet we still finished above. Says quite alot, doesn't it. If Prince or Marshall get injured (which is very likely), then your team will be up sh*t creek.

NSW don't seem to have a natural lock apart from Menzies and I can't see them going back to him.

Fitzgibbon and ryan are both very capable of playing lock.

Sure they can fill in, but I said natural locks. Andrew Ryan hasnt seen the right side of the field in 2 years and Fitzgibbon dosen't have the ball skills.

1. Bulldogs - Price loss will barely effect them.
2. Panthers - I just got a feeling they'll improve.
3. Storm - They got to step up some day, and I think it will be 05.
4. Roosters - Will definantly drop beacsue of Fittler loss, but not that much.
5. Cowboys - Only doubt here is that they can maintain form.
6. Dragons - Eh, as long as they're inconsistent they'll be here.
7. Sharks - Should imrove if Dykes and Kimmorley fire.
8. Knights - The Andrew Johnses all depend on him.
9. Broncos - Eh, I'm going to write them off.
10. Warriors - Wiki and Price will imrove them 4 places ;-)
11. Eels - Additions will help, but their culture is all wrong.
12. Tigers - So close, yet so far, will drop.
13. Sea Eagles - Yes, they will improve but not in terms of ladder ranking.
14. Raiders - Sh!te forward pack, backline dodgy.
15. Rabbitohs - Can't see them improving unless Harrison, Fletcher and Williams fire.

Next year will be extremely close, I think ayone from 1-13 can make the eight and if all the ifs happen maybe even Rabbits and Raiders.

There will be 4 groups next year:
1-4:
These teams (Bulldogs, Panthers, Storm and Roosters) will be the top group and very hard to beat, definants for the 8.

5-7:
These teams (Cowboys, Dragons and Sharks) have wobbly consistancy but should make the 8, Cowboys probably closer to certainties.

8-13:
All these teams (Knights, Broncos, Warriors, Eels, Tigers and Sea Eagles) can make the 8 but are all very inconsistant (well except maybe the Broncos but I think they'll drop) will scavange for the final place(s) in the 8.

14-15:
Raiders and Rabbits are just about no chance of making the 8 unless all these what ifs happen.

raiders last =

we have the australian underage halfback in our ranks (till 2008 as well!) and the experienced head of jason smith to bring him along. any of you who have seen michael weyman play knows that if he can stay fit he can take over from davico. add to that o hara, woolford (and withers as a replacement hooker), hindmarsh, croker, adamson and some very talented youngsters and its plaint o see that despite losing the best backrower in the comp we have the forward depth to give our exciting young backline a show.

My word, if we based it all on junior depths, the Warriors have how many Junior Kiwi internationals?

Junior rep footy compared to NRL footy is massively different. You've said it yourself, you're basing it on a junior representative, thats why people are judging you to come last.

Who says it was a success for us?

It may have been an improvement on previous seasons, improved in many areas yet we still cracked at the crucial times.

Improvement & success are two very different things.

And why are Prince and Marshall very likely to get injured?? They have as much chance as EVERY other player that laces on a boot. Big point there.
Youre a year late with Prince, everyone was saying he'd get injured again this year, deathriding him....yet he played 21 games for Wests PLUS Origin as well.
