I saw many AFL whilst i was going to Aussie, is it just me? or there supporters look like total gimps? they sound like they're all from Tasmania, they look weird and act weird, what tripe of a game, even my GF said something tonight along the lines off "how come Swans fan look weird and not quite right"?

How do the Swans attract 64,000 to that sh*t?
Attitude. Here in Canberra they had an article in the paper about the appalling ratings that AFL was getting on Friday Night Football, yet 11-14K usually show up to the nothing games they play at Manuka.

AFL supporters go to games, we don't. We never have, and it's only pouring cash into advertising and promotion that gets us there now (sometimes)

Interestingly Manly only have four remaining home matches, one of which is at Bluetongue. This is largely due to the venue switch with Brisbane, meaning Brisbane has plenty of Suncorp matches going into the back end of the season.
It's interesting to note that the QLDers are carrying the rest of us and the Dragons are letting us down.

I was really surprised that the crowd was only 9K. It looked more to me. The weather this morning and early afternoon was particularly bad where I was. I'm sure it was a factor.

I cant believe there was only 13,500 at the Storm game. The place looked heaps packed out. If the capacity for Olympic Park is 18,500, the attendance figures must be greatly understated, as I'm 100% positive there had to be more than 13,500 today. Makes me wonder how they got 18-20,000 in the early years?????:?

If the Storm keep playing good footy over the next few years I wouldn't be surprised to see them average 15,000+ when they move into their new stadium.

Very happy with the crowd yesterday. I'm not exactly sure where they'd fit another 5k in either as both stands were pretty much full and it was more congested than usual down the northern end. As usual there was room down the south end which is probably the only place i could see that would fit more people in.

Anyway yesterday's crowd took our average so far this year to over 12K which is 1200 up on last year and over 4,000 more than the previous year to that so things are going along nicely and hopefully we'll be able to maintain/increase our crowds not only this year but also beyond.

Whilst it looked full - there were a number of seats spare in both stands - and there was plenty of room at both ends of the ground (standing areas).

The crowd number was about right IMO.

If the dragons were actually half decent this year - it would have been full. The support the Dragons received yesterday was piss poor. Where have their fans gone?
