I think the Broncos/Redcliffe one was again around the 9,000 mark...can't find any link for that though.

Keeping fingers crossed for the Broncos to break the 35,000 average this year too. Here's hoping.

I wonder if there was a figure taken for the Dogs/Pemriff game?

Gold Coast Titans have declared their round 1 home clash with the Cowboys at Skilled Park on Friday a 27,500 sellout but teenage star Shannon Walker could be missing from the action. Walker, who was in line for an interchange berth, will have scans today for a possible wrist fracture from last weekend's trial against Wests Tigers.

About 25,000 tickets have been sold for the Broncos' clash with Penrith at Suncorp Stadium tomorrow week.

Round 1 has the potential to be pretty massive (lets hope the whether is good):

Rabbits/Roosters - Speaks for itself, should get over 40 k or close to it.

Titans/Cowboys - Is already a 27k sellout.

Eels/Dogs - Should get at least 35-40k (i think the timeslot hurts this game)

Eagles/Sharks - Brookie should be near full and about 17-19k

Knights/Raiders - Will be a near sell out, minimum 24k

Broncos/Panthers - With 25k already sold i expect close to 40k

Tigers/Dragons - Still have to see where its being played but 35k at an absolute minimum

Storm/Warriors - Is an interesting one, lets hope it gets to at least 20k (any news on ticket sales???)

Storm/Warriors - Is an interesting one, lets hope it gets to at least 20k (any news on ticket sales???) - 15k would be a good effort.
Optimisitic and unrealisitic IMO. Though there does seem to be a groundswell of excitement generated by the Centenary.

One could only dream of these sorts of figures at the first round, that average of around 24K would be a massive shot in the arm for RL.

Perhaps this will be the season that all the remaining lost SL war fans return to the game??

the NRL and ARL must push hard to promote all to attend games this year, especially with the pokie taxes cominig into effect. I would like to think that all fans could be a little more loyal in season 2008.

There is no reason we shouldn't get those crowds, but chances are we won't tbh

hopefully it will be a full house for the Manly and Melbourne games, well TD might be bit of a challenge but Melbourne has pulled 33,000 there before.

If Storm/Warriors gets 14 thousand or less i will personally get down on my knees and kiss your feet my good sir.

The Warriors are the easiest opposition to sell in Melbourne because their are so many bloody Kiwis there hungry for some "rugby".

I hope you're right Eels, infact i'd like to think all of my predictions will be bare minimums.

Yeah, i think i always predict a little high because i see the potential for games but obviously it doesnt always work out that way.

Um titans vs cowboys is already sold out so you might want to rethink that figure.

Also if any of the games i've bolded are that low i would be extremely disappointed. In fact if that is how the whole round turned out it would be an absolute disgrace. There are some big matchups there and i m hoping/expecting quite a bit more than that.

Indeed, it is a sellout. But like all sellouts, the official figure given tends to be just under capacity for various reasons. Consider mine a rough figure though.

See my response to Eels.

just remember what happened the last time Melbourne played at what we in Melbourne call the Dome, we had just over 800 more than the prelim in Sydney and almost 3 thousand less than the Hawkes got two weeks before when they beat Adelaide the Storm are definately in the hearts of Melbourne. There's also no AFL on plus it's Monday Night we might get those curious about the game and those that want a late night in the city, the dome is accessable on the city loop you can see it from Southern Cross Station.
