again, I'm still very annoyed (in the Footy Show quiz) when Fat keeps reading the question after someone has buzzed in. The Roosters were buzzing in heaps early, and employed exactly the same tactics that Melbourne did a fortnight ago. Funnily enough, the one question where Fat did stop after Roosters buzzed in early, the Roosters got it wrong.
It happens on every other trivia show: If you buzz in early, you STOP reading the question (and are made to answer it on what you've heard prior to buzzing in). And if you get it wrong (which is what happened with that incident), then that's the tradeoff for buzzing in inordinately early. Otherwise, I could buzz in after one second (not knowing what exactly will be asked), Fat keeps reading the question and then I have the luxury of hearing the whole question, which I shouldn't have been allowed. If this rule change was implemented, it'd make both teams a lot more cautious, knowing that if they buzz in before they have heard enough substantial information in the question, then they will most likely get the answer wrong.
