I liked when the serious footy talk started Cheif had absolutely nothing..

The only thing he could comment on was SBWs shirtless body. He was drooling and giggling like a lovesick schoolgirl. He would have blown his load on air had Sunny Bill been standing in the main street of Newcastle

Have to say overall, the Footy Show is a much better effort this year than the last few seasons.

Much more footy talk, and less crap - adds up to a much better show.

the show is better indeed.

wittyfan, just the way it was acted out and some of the lines and ideas were just poor I thought, nothing to do with Girdler either.

Yeah I agree, it has improved. Still crap overall but it's getting better. Just f**k the Chief off, get more Gould and Sterlo and cut down the Fatty's airtime.

I'm a huuuuuuge knights fan but f**k chief is embarrassing. What the hell was with "Oh show Sonny in the change rooms again?" he adds nothing.

The show is vastly improved on last year's 'effort' but thats not an achievement to brag about. More airtime to Gould and Sterlo would be a big start to really improving it consistently

Template for footy show: Top gear.

Cars are boring to my wife. But when you put Top Gear on. She laps it all up. If you start talking about oil to her, unless its really funny, she will fade on you. So what am I saying? For all you more under-done guys, you should know the following by now: girls attentions (within reason) are won by being fun. You can get away with a lot if you are funny. That is not goofy funny, ha-ha funny or stupid-funny. Genuinely fun and genuinely funny. Thats what girls mean when they say "guys must have a sense of humour". Its so you can give her crap about everything about her and have her laughing (within reason be sensitive too but thats another story). Edit: hint- its also so you are not plain old boring and thats a mood-killer.

Anyway, think about top gear and people who are not large fans of cars.....the shows fun, so a lot of people who would otherwise not watch, do. Its the perfect mix of content/fun/intelligence level.

The footy show is still a bit off that, but its getting there.

I was a giant detractor of the footy show. I loathed it. But judging from recent episodes, it has improved a great deal.

I must admit I do not watch all the show. I choose to fall asleep. I have enjoyed the titans new stadium segment, SBW v Mason and membership drive segments the most.

Fatty has really improved his professionalism. Gould doesnt try and hijack every single thing...daley is a welcomed addition. I have always thought the chief's persona was good and the content he was given to delivere not as good, and I think he gets some unwarranted criticism on here. In that way, I think Chief's negative features have been minimized this year which is good.

Andrew Johns for mine has always been good to listen to and a high point and well informed; though never appears to pretend he knows about something when he doesn't. Integrity.

They all have opinions and may talk about facts but they give opinions primarily, and you must understand that first, and filter it a little. Alltogether its accurate.

I like the show now. As long as it keeps up its football content and indeed includes even more if possible (while keeping things fun), I think the show can have a new lease on life.

My wife still doesnt watch it, and I choose to go to sleep. But its getting a lot better. Some segments are outstanding.

i think the most interesting point of the over dramatised affair is..

SBW's thoughts on loyalty.

his comments about clubs being keen on loyalty only when you young is very true.

For a young guy to say that on live tv and also admit he will be putting himself and his family first from now on was brave and something i would certainly be doing considering that rugby league is 100% professinal and so it should be.

I think its also refreshing to see a superstar like sbw be so nervous and camera shy.

I forgot about Sterlo. Has not made an impression on me so far. Have not seen much of him.

About SBW, I lift weights 3 times a week, really hard, then for a period I go lighter, then for a period o go almost none - so I cycle my intensity. And I rest as much as possible, and my nutrition is accurate and I am dedicated to what I do, and consistent.

When Cheif asked to have SBW's body back on, I rejoiced.

The guys physique is fantastic. It took a LOT of hard work and pain to get like that. It deserves to be seen. And that is not gay or pathetic, that is a "take a second look" because a body like that should be applauded.

I know he's a full time professional, but a lot goes into that.

Thanks for that cheif. If someone were into weights they might hang SBW on their wall for inspiration. If you don't know what you want to look like, how the f? can you get there? Looking like Sonny would not be a bad thing. Its like a girls breasts, they are there to be looked at, she wants YOU to look at them. So don't shy away from it (but don't ogle either, dont be pathetic, its uncomfortable to her). Don't mean you need to worship her either or nothing. But anyway.

So I don't think the second showing was pathetic. It was welcomed.

By the way, everyone's second favourite segment is back next week (Crack a Fat).

Everyone's favourite is Fatty's Crazy Dutch Auction.

I like it this year.

This is what the footy show should do and is starting to do....

Make the segments funny, as in the ones through the week but make the on air stuff about footy because its just sad when they try to do funny things on the show, the funniest things are unplanned really.

Id love to see a Vossy, Gould, Sterlo, Matty, Daley footy show though.

It is better, but at the same time it seem to drag on a bit towards the end. I thought the quiz should have been on earlier, as it was most people would have been in bed by then. Also was that Grant Rovelli doing stand up comedy?

Also Their House/My Home is becoming very forced and unfunny. Why was Finch pretending to be part of a Polynesian family?

Yeah it drags on a bit unfortunately, I reckon it would be better if it was a one hour show and starts at 8:30.

Anyway, I'm so sick of chief's girly laugh and how sh*tty was that comedy last night. I'm sick of My home already, but it looks like it's here to stay now that it's sponsored ffs.
